Elegant on a budget!ShannonI've had this cabinet door on my phone for 2 years, waiting to have the contemporary condo to put a row in the living room. I have a row of 5 BESTA narrow black/brown cabinets with the RIKSVIKEN doors suspended 1 1/2 ft off the floor with the TV mounted above. Sleek, contemporary, and simple. I love the finish! Can fit a masculine or feminine style. The protective film is genius how it peels right off without tearing into pieces.5

Sharp accentSherylI used the Riksviken, along with smoked black Glassvik and the gloss black Selsviken doors. Looks sharp, IMO. My only complaints are having to install the glass shelves before installing the doors and you have to remove the door to adjust the shelves. The door position is fairly easy to adjust with the hinge screws, however you get that one door that just doesn't hang right & the adjustment formula is impossible to figure out. From reading other threads, the sloping door seems to be the biggest problem. This could be a result of how the Bestå cabinet is hung on the suspension rail on an out of level wall but as this is geared towards DIY-ers, Ikea should take note & offer a greater range of adjustment or instruction. Didn't have this issue with my Ikea kitchen cabinets which used a continuous rail system.5

Looks exactly as pictured, great quality and the best part is that it does not leave fingerprint marks! Took a bit longer to assemble than anticipated, but with patience it came together perfectly.

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
