Avoid at al costGustavoFrom day one, it failed to clean well. It became quite annoying that it would return dishes uncleaned. But the worst is that it broke down in less than a year and a half, resulting in a huge headache.
One Year Later, It Became a Very Expensive Kitchen OrnamentTimShoutout to my IKEA dishwasher for retiring after one year of honorable service. The drain pump sensor broke, so now it dramatically tries to drain invisible water like it’s auditioning for a sci-fi role. But hey, it has a 5-year warranty! So I called. After a mind-numbing, soul-crushing hour-long journey through hold music and transfers, I finally reached someone who said a repair tech would call me. That was three days ago. Still waiting. I also, like a genius, forgot to get a case number or literally any info. So now I’ve got a buzzing brick in my kitchen and no proof I didn’t dream the whole call. The thought of calling back? Makes me want to live off paper plates. IKEA’s warranty process? Like a scavenger hunt where the prize is regret.

Functional but cumbersome to useGregAs part of a kitchen remodel we replaced our 28 year old Maytag dishwasher that was still functioning perfectly. The Maytag was a model from when Maytag was still in business. It was a better product in every way. It had the option of a quick wash (15 minutes) or regular wash (45 minutes). The Rengjord takes a minimum of 2 hours in normal mode. The door on the Rengjord is so heavy, my Wife, who has arthritis cannot close it. The Maytag had assist springs that would return the door to an almost closed position once the bottom rack was pushed back in. The bottom rack on the Rengjord easily comes off the track if you're not very careful when pulling it out. Not a terrible product, but I expected more for the price paid.
Very frustrated. Look elsewhere. SteveLike everyone else, we bought this for the cabinet panel option. The dishwasher works fine so far, but the door opens way too low so the bottom drawer wants to slide out in the floor. Had a technician come look because it's less than a year old. He said the hinges were bent, either due to the weight of the Ikea door panel or the bottom drawer. He guaranteed me new hinges wouldn't be covered under the warranty. So basically Ikea (Electrolux) designed a dishwasher that could not support the weight of itself or the dishes it was designed to clean. Read the reviews, this is a design issue. The fact that IKEA continues to sell it is gross.
Not worth the $$$ShawnaI do not recommend this dishwasher. If I could, I would give it zero stars for quality and value. I really wanted to like it because of how nice it looks in the kitchen with it's panel ready front. BUT it has been annoying since the beginning. NO question it is just cheaply made, there is nothing quality about it. And especially not the quality you would expect from an expensive appliance. The racks continually fall off the track and feel cheap. It's hard to load and it does't get dishes clean. I have to wash the dishes before I put them in. It's basically become an expensive dish rack. I should have returned it on day one but because it was installed and with the panel, I kept trying to ignore the issues and unfortunately now it is after the 180 days. I previously had a dishwasher made by another company that was less than half the price and it worked like a dream. Lesson learned. Don't buy Ikea appliances.
Broke in less than a yearLouisBought a house and this dishwasher was one of the new appliances that came with the house. In less than a year this dishwasher is broken. The power buttons no longer work and it's effectively useless. Trying to get support but unable to get a receipt as the dishwasher came with the house. Absolutely terrible.
DisappointingJaneLooks great. The bottom shelf is constantly off its track. Can't figure out how to load the dishwasher. Plates are jammed together. And it takes 3 or 4 times to get the dishwasher to start. The dishes come out clean, and it's very quiet, but I wish I got a different one.
This has given us so much trouble, do not buyScooterWe've had so much trouble with this dishwasher, it has really never worked well since we bought it, and feels cheaply made. For a $300-400 dishwasher, it would be acceptable, but for a $1,000 dishwasher this is the worst deal you could purchase. We have unfortunately given it too much of a trial run to be within the return period, please please don't make the same mistake! Buy elsewhere.
Not worth the price - Stops and gives false flood warningChristineWe bought this so that it would integrate well with our whole Ikea kitchen, however, looking back, I wouldn't do it again.
We've only had it up and operating for about three weeks, but (about four out of five washes), it stops near the end of the cycle and gives a three beep warning. When we open the door, there is always 20 minutes left in the cycle. Three beeps (according to Google) is a flood warning. The manual is vague about the beep system and doesn't offer advice. We have looked over our install, checked everything, and there is no indication of a flood or problematic install. We've often had to finish our wash by canceling the previous wash and simply running the rinse cycle.
On phone to customer support now, but not at all pleased that this is happening in a new kitchen with a new dishwasher. Not sure the integrated look was worth this trouble.
Last 3 months, Failed pumpShantellThis lasted 3 months normal use before it had a failed pump. Custom panel wasn't even finished before we needed to buy another. Warranty is a HUGE Hassle, it's almost like they don't want you to use it. :)
Failing in less than 1 year / Given incorrect info at storeMarkWe have had this just a bit less than a year now and it is already failing to the point I am considering replacing it. Over the last couple months I have been having more and more loads in which I am having to rewash items by hand because the dishwasher didn't do it right. From day 1 the thing didn't dry well, we have to prop the door overnight to allow things to dry.
Additionally, we have found that the store personal were mistaken (because I can't imagine it was on purpose) when they told us this thing was made by Whirlpool. It supposedly has a 5 year warranty, but that is useless if no one is willing to service it.
dishwasher purchaseJayWe bought this dishwasher in 2020, when we renovated the kitchen. we had a Bosch dishwasher that air dried the dishes and the plastics always came out wet. we made sure this dishwasher had a heating element and when writing this review, its still working great, the panel during installation was a breeze and I would recommend this dishwasher.
Rebranded FrigidaireMattThis is just a Frigidaire FDSH4501AS 49 dba 3 rack dishwasher. Goes for $450-550 or so at the big box stores. All the reviews give it a solid rating for its price range. IKEA retrofitted it to work with their drawer/panels and doubled the price. Look at the instructions and you'll see they are the exact same model and it seems likely that you can figure out how to remove and replace the SS door that comes on the 1/2 priced one...
Very low-quality dishwasherSeanThis is an extremely low-quality dishwasher, much worse than the old panel-ready model Ikea used to sell. Unfortunately we had no choice, as this is the only option that will fit the Ikea panels in our kitchen, but even so we're considering replacing with a non-panel ready from another company. The racks feel very cheap and don't fit dishes well or efficiently (even Ikea dishes); the button panel looks cheap and doesn't function well (there's no way to cancel while it's running, despite having a cancel button); there's no indicator showing when it's done (you have to open it to see whether it's finished). It didn't come with one of the two hoses necessary for installation, but luckily the plumber who was installing had an extra. Very disappointed in this purchase.

Great featuresKaliAfter installing our cabinets I put off installing this unit til the end. The panel was not as hard to put on as I expected, only because the template got wet and shrunk. I got it mounted ok. I did not get the power outlet installed low enough so it isn’t quite flush with the rest of our cabinets. It is a great unit now that we have started using it. I just need to get used to the racks as they’re different than what we had in our old DW.
Good DishwasherRuthI really like the Dishwasher and it cleans very good. It's a little bit louder than my previous GE but not much. The only thing I don't like is that you can't see how long it still takes while it's running. you can't see the display and there is no indication that it's on.
I had a dishwasher back in Germany that had a little red light dot shining to the floor to tell you that the Dishwasher is running or I know that there are some on the market that open automatically after they're done.
I don't know if there is a possibility the install something like this for the Dishwasher....
Another point is that all racks are a little "flimsi" and it's sometimes difficult to slide them in and out
love the dishwasher butCassiemy dishwasher came without a front panel. i cant tell if this is normal but for the price it should have atleast some kind of front panel. other than that it is a nice dishwasher.
