As a regular IKEA customer, do not buyGraceI am a regular IKEA customer and regularly shop at the store. This is the only product I’ve ever fully had an issue with. I wanted to give this dresser a shot, I couldn’t even build it successfully with tools. One of my buddies also got one, had a similar issue. Just go ahead and spend the extra money on something worth it rather than this.1
Painful to assemble and uselessXiyanToo many parts to assemble. And not that useful2
Easy to build but quality is lackingBonnieI bought this because it was solid wood instead of particle board and the price was pretty decent. Unfortunately, several pieces cracked and split when I was screwing everything in. They've also cheaped out and use plastic railing instead of metal. Difficult to pull the drawers out. If I had a choice, I'd spend the money on the Hemnes line instead of this.3
Smell strongKarenThis item smell strong since the day I installed it, because I already open ,so can’t return it , and drawers are loose1
The bad item ever Abdelfettah"I deeply regret this purchase. The quality is terrible—it's literally crumbling to pieces. It's totally unusable. Choosing this was a mistake; save your money and stay away from it."1
PerfectJoePerfect product.5
Short! ChrisPutting it together was extremely easy in my opinion, but there was one screw that wouldn't go all the way in (it was the outside left bottom side). My complaint is how short this thing is! It honestly looks like a child's dresser and is prefect size for my 7 year!!! The problem with that is that it's for my husband and I! My husband is 6'3 and I'm 5'3 and we both agreed it needs to be higher, so we're going to put some legs on it to give it height. I had a coupon so I was able to get it for $99 which honestly is what it's worth4
Nope. SylviaI would’ve been better off hiking into the back country, harvesting a pine tree, processing and assembling this dresser by myself. First of all, it requires a power drill to assemble, which I was not ready for buying a $100 IKEA dresser. I bought a drill, much more expensive than the pile of splinters that had been delivered. Assembly was one of the harder things I’ve ever done- and so far every time I go to use the dresser (aka gingerly open the drawer to get a pair of socks; god forbid) the whole front of the drawer falls off. So if you’re looking for a life long project full of splinters and rage that you didn’t know you were capable of, this is the product for you. 1
Plastic screws, metal parts that bend, broken drawer sideAlexYeah it’s pine, but think things went a little too far with making it cheaper…turned a metal locking thing too far and it bent like butter, haven’t assembled an ikea thing in a while so the plastic screws are a little shocking. But the worst part is when finally opening the box and assembling found out one of the drawer sides is broken, so going to have to figure that out.2
Putting together BrynnanThis is the worst product my husband has ever put together he has to literally get additional parts to hold it together! The wood kept breaking apart at the connectors - ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE 1
Avoid at all costsChristineBought this to match my bed frame, but it only lasted a couple of months before the tracks started breaking/cracking. Now, the dresser is unusable. This product should not be sold since it’s defective.1
Keeps breakingCaitlinI've spent more on repairs on this dresser than what it cost. I'm so frustrated about it because I treat it well, but the railings snap- WHY would you make these plastic?! I've tried replacements, but nothing fits because of how the dresser is designed. Truly a hopeless cause.1
So so badBrentI’m slightly biased because the attempted assembly caused me to have a panic attack. However, the quality and logic of assembly is so so bad. I’m not sure how this qualifies as furniture. As with most IKEA items, use diligence when purchasing. This item is not worth an ounce of your time or energy. Avoid at all costs.1
Held up for a few monthsAnonymous reviewerInitially, pleased with it, but the rails on the drawers are the weak link. On some, the screws holding them in aren’t secure enough. If the screw does hold them, then the rail breaks around the screw. Would not buy again or recommend for purchase. Super disappointed.1
doesnt last at allIsabellaThe dresser worked well for a few months and then the plastic drawer mount bent and made the drawer collapse and i cant replace because its sold out1
Getting cheap for no good reasonCaseyThis dresser has plastic drawers mounts that painful slide along the pre-cut wooden drawers. They open poorly, they open wobbly, and they only thing keeping the drawers in tiny pieces of plastic on each side. Really ikea—how much more would this have been to just include metal drawer mounts? This is ridiculous.1
AwfulJuanThe draw are so tiny and it barely fits any close. Poor quality, I definitely regret this purchase. Falls apart right away.1
Love the real woodEricI love the real wood and it was affordable. I bought two of these. I’m really glad I did. I get to paint them however I like.5
Disappointed with this purchase MariaOne of the plastic railings cracked after minimal use, and the drawer is no longer usable.1
worst thing I ever purchasedKanaThey are not even accurate so it didn’t even connect each part. This is the horrible product. I can’t believe it is Japanese company. The USA facility doesn’t do their job correctly.1

IKEA takes the lead to reduce the risk of tipping

At IKEA, we want to create a better everyday life for the many people – and a safer life is a better life. That’s why we constantly work to develop innovative stability solutions.

Furniture tipping over is one of the home furnishing industry's most serious safety issues and we’ll never stop working on innovative stability solutions for our storage furniture. A tip-over accident can happen when you least expect it. It could be someone using a drawer as support to stand up or children climbing to reach something on top. But no one can predict all the scenarios that everyday living at home can create. That’s why the best way to avoid tipping accidents is to always anchor the furniture to the wall. But we also offer new stability solutions that help make our storage furniture safer. One example is our stability feature Anchor and Unlock. "It means that the chest of drawers must be anchored to a wall to be able to open more than one drawer at a time, which reduces the risk of tipping, but doesn’t entirely remove it. By anchoring the chest of drawers to the wall, you unlock the drawers and can open them all at once," says Björn Andreasson from the development team. Another way we increase stability is to integrate it into the design. "With GREÅKER cabinet with drawers, for example, we´ve developed hinges that stop the doors at a 115-degree angle and keep them there to reduce the risk of tipping," says product developer Dagmara Pawlus. IKEA of course meets all safety requirements in our markets, but we don’t just settle for this. We often set higher demands than what legislation requires to help people enjoy a better everyday life – in a safer home.
