An unexpected problem...Toe BruiserFrederickThis is a great footrest...but! I replaced two large entirely upholstered ottomans with two of these smaller footrests. But one is frequently tempted to walk between this footrest and the couch it is next to (at least in my smallish living area). If the lighting is low and you aren't wearing shoes, I have found it is VERY easy to catch your foot on one of the legs. The footprint of this item is larger than the cushion, which is what you see. This item has HARD edges and DOES NOT move on a carpet. Which results in a painful toe strike. I've done this five times so far between the two footrests. I'm going to have to cushion the bottom four inches of each leg. IKEA should cushion the bottom of each leg.3
