High PriceStephanieI have a previous purchased cushion in this color and wanted to get another to match and I can't believe the ridiculous price on this cushion now. I was able to get the frame and this cushion for a little bit more than the cost of this cushion now.
New design is awful. Do NOT BUYDorothyIKEA has gone out of their way to sew zippers that CAN’T be opened. They are not child zippers, can’t open with safety pin or paper clip. The fabric is completely washable. It’s 100% polyester. IKEA is doing this so that you have to go out and spend an $140 every time you spill something. It’s a serious default and a slap in the face to every POANG fan. No Bissell spot cleaning because that will get the foam wet and once the foam gets wet it starts to break down. CAN’T drink any liquid while you’re sitting in the chair because we all know accidents happen. These would be a nightmare around children. I’ve had my chair for 15 years. It’s the only chair. I can sit on without hurting my hip. I didn’t pay attention to the changes. I could’ve used the $221 towards a chair that I could clean. I’ve already thrown the box away, so there’s no returning it. I’m stuck. I hope you all have better luck.
Great replacement cushionJenniferWe have an older Poang chair, and this cushion is actually even better than the one that came with the chair. It's more supportive, better shaped, and it looks really sleek.
Fabric is coarse, abrasiveMaureenThe shape and density of the cushion is okay, but the fabric is not pleasant against one's skin. It is a coarse weave, with an abrasive texture. Fine if you always wear long pants and long sleeves, but otherwise best avoided. We bought this one for the bright color - most of the color choices take drab to new levels - but going back to store and checking out the texture of other POÄNG cushions leaves me wondering what the designers were thinking when they chose to make the majority of the cushion choices in such abrasive fabric. Maybe it was the only durable fabric they could find?

Comfy cushion choice for the Poang chair!MarsieWe replaced our existing Poang cushion (the thinner Kinsa cushion) with the Gunnared light green to match our nursery. Defintely an upgrade! This cushion is more padded, great for long sitting sessions while bouncing a fussy little one. Bonus: the cushion cleans well from spit-up with our green machine!

These were replacment cushions.Anonymous reviewerI like the chairs , which I've had for several years. I had to replace the cushions, not because of a quality issue, but because sometimes my cat refuses to behave and viewed the chairs as another scratching post, the cushions had about all they could stand. But...I like these news ones better than the original cushions (and I bought the cat a new scratching post to take his mind off the chairs). a win-win.
Quality issuesJesseI have purchased several of these, and all have had quality problems. I learned the stitching will come undone, and foam will flatten easily. Also these never really stay attached to velcro in frame. Also very difficult to get foam back into the cover after you wash it. Would not purchase again
Nice, but cannot open zipper to wash the cushion covers. YingThe cushion is beautiful and very comfortable. The cushions have zippers, but built inside out. Therefore, I cannot unzip to wash. It’s unfortunate for the price that I paid that I can’t thoroughly wash it. If I knew this, I wouldn’t have bought this chair and cushion.
