Part of the Nytillverkad collection where several IKEA classics have been given a new look.
POEM armchair, later renamed POÄNG, was shown for the first time on the cover of our 1977 catalogue. Then with a headrest.
In 2022, Noboru Nakamura changed the design by removing the headrest. A new, compact and modern look, yet the rocking feature and comfort of the layer-glued and bent wooden frame remained the same.

washing caused the product damage.CindyI felt comfortable washing these since the instructions were easy to follow; after washing the covers they have a stain/ permanent wrinkle look to them. they also are not very comfortable.
Functional and AttractiveLoisI bought two and these are the go chairs for the kids. I made waterproof cushion covers which I change out and increased the value of these chairs considerably! Now these chairs are formal when needed and childproof when needed!
Nice but IKEA needs to offer more varietyDavidNice cushion but IKEA truly needs to offer more variety and some high-quality options for the Poang low back chair. 3 boring options is just not acceptable for such a stylish chair.
