Decent chairDamonI am fairly large. This chair looks good and is reasonably comfortable. If I get another chair I would get a similar chair without arms. That being said. Good chair. No regrets.
Pieces don’t fit!ArleyYears ago I put together a POANG chair and it was very easy. This new one is frustrating because some of the holes don’t match and I can’t finish putting it together. Now what?
Warning for ParentsHannahI am currently sitting in this chair with my baby, about to have an absolute crash out. For the love of god, DO NOT get this chair for your nursery. The rocking base barely rocks, my calves are getting so strong, but not because I want them to! The worst thing about this chair is that it is so lightweight, it constantly scoots as you’re rocking in it. You’re trying to get your baby to sleep and just praying that they fall asleep before the chair you pulled several feet away from the wall is hitting the wall because it migrated across the room with each rock.
The chair is comfortable and looks nice with all of the other ikea furniture in my nursery, so I’ll give it that. But I am truly about to lose my mind, and wish I hadn’t spent my rocking chair budget on this pick.

Nice ChairStephenI like this chair vs a rocker. Total cost is really not reasonable unless you get a discount like we did. Easy to assemble. Cushion is ok but could be thicker. The down side the thicker cushion is overpriced and sold separately.

Nice chairMinhComfortable chair. Light enough to move around the house without any problem. Only cons is it is physically hard to get out of the chair once you sit down.
chairs are great but...Christhese chairs are great but the covers are not. washing them is nice, but putting the foam back in is like herding cats. for whatever reason there's "sticky" fabric lining the inside and it makes it nigh impossible to arrange the foam correctly. mine are somewhat older so maybe the newer ones don't have it.

Poang with Skiftebo CushionAndrewI tried out a bunch of chairs in the showroom and picked the Poang in birch with the Skiftebo cushion (in dark grey). The Gunnred, Hillared, and Glose cushions felt good too. The yellow Knisa felt pretty good, but with the black and beige ones I could feel the frame poking my lower back. The low-back Poang didn't feel as good to me. Another chair called the Ekenaset was over my budget ($300) but also very comfortable.
Picking up from the warehouse and completing the purchase were super easy. The two packages were pretty light to carry and not bulky. Assembly was straightforward. The frame seems to be solid plywood without any paperboard stuff. I think it could be disassembled and reassembled without being destroyed. The chair is very light and easy to move around, sturdy to sit in, comfortable, and has a nice bounce to it. I notice a bit of graininess on the armrests that some reviewers have mentioned. It doesn't
bother me but could be sanded down.

Recently needed a chair for a guest room and got another POÄNG and was a little surprised that the old one is still just as comfortable as the new one. These frames really hold up well.
Poorly sanded uneven surfacesMaxim YankelevichThe wood is very poorly processed, the surface is uneven, it feels like you could get a splinter. Couldn't they have treat it with sandpaper? The design is not bad, but unsanded rough surfaces ruined it

Needed sandingGregFor a $300 chair I wasn't expecting to have to sand it. The wood in the arms is gritty and rough like there is sand in the poly or it was just never sanded properly. Kind of disappointing as it's one of the easiest things to quality control for.
Great design though.
