sit before buyWinI bought this few months ago. ottoman is nice but the head rest area is a problem, that made it for tall man not for small guy like (5 feet 7). sitting this chair for whole day has no issue except I put a little pillow as cusion so my neck get rest. Otherwise that bother me alot.

Perfect For Our Sitting Area BrendaThe armchair, rocking chair, and two ottomans have made the perfect addition to our sitting area. We needed something with minimal cloth surfaces because of our four cats. We did have to add blankets to protect the cushions, but those are easily removed when we want to sit and relax.

Beware the edges of the wood!RobertWhile assembling the chairs I got a long and very painful sliver of wood in my hand. The edges were very poorly finished. As we all know nothing is made as well as it was 10 years ago, but this terrible. I returned the chair.

QC inspection dropped a little.ThitimaWhile we still love the idea of engineering products, we think the QC doesn’t live up to the good quality standards or drops a little on new productions (post Covid time). The wood isn’t well sanded and the application of clear coat is too thin. My teenage kid got splinters twice. The wood isn’t smooth for us to liberally run our hands on the wood areas. We keep it because we still like how Ikea engineers products. It’s considerably minor enough for us to deal with it during the warranty to see if any improvement. (The QC on big items we bought is our issue. We had to make extra trips for returns) That was frustrating part.

Comfort AssuredKarenI’m downsizing from house to apartment and was sad to part with my plush couch. Until, I reacquainted myself with IKEA’s Poäng chair and ottoman. It’s actually an improvement for my low back pain and great for naps! It’s possible to be put together by one person (thank you, partner mine!).
