We recommend IKEA fitted sheets for cribs. They are dimensioned for our mattresses, which means the mattress retains its secure shape and size.

The cutest foam mattressTajeveMy bougie babies love soft surfaces to sleep on. For months my husband said he would look for a pillow top for the cribs but didnt. A quick trip to IKEA was all I needed for this crib sized FOAM MATTRESS top. Can be put on top of mattress or slept on without it. 5
Too thinMichelleFor the price, thats great but for the thickness its way too thin and so the crib bolts will be exposed bc its thickness is not thick enough. This would be fine for maybe a toddler bed, but not for a crib. Or at least the crib that I have. 1
UnsafeAmandaI love IKEA so it pains me to leave this review, but this mattress is unsafe. Read the other review about exposed corners. When you put this mattress in an IKEA crib, the corners pull in with even the perfect cover, leaving a gap between the mattress and the corners. You can see straight down to the bottom of the crib, with a gap of several inches in every direction. IKEA, you need to rethink the safety of this mattress before someone's baby suffocates. 1

Is this gap dangerous?Anonymous reviewerWe recently bought this mattress, the GULLIVER crib, LENAST mattress protector and LEN fitted sheets to set up a nursery for our first child. When I put the mattress protector and fitted sheet on this mattress, it compresses the corners on two sides and leaves a gap open in the corner down to the wood and mesh of the mattress support. The frame bolt is entirely exposed in the corner, it's definitely more than two finger widths of space. I've tried readjusting the sheets to give the corner more room but nothing helps. It seems like it might be dangerous. It's not a whole side of the crib, but is two of the corners. Could a baby get stuck in the space? Does this happen with all the foam mattresses?2

Firm but not the right sizeAnonymousPurchased this mattress to fit the SNIGLAR bed frame but it was short about 12 inches. It was not clear on the sales floor and less so at the bin locations on the warehouse floor as to which mattress to use. Otherwise it is nice and firm mattress for a great price.4

Material

What is foam?

Foam is excellent as upholstery in seating and mattresses since it provides good comfort and can relieve pressure by moulding to the body. Depending on the properties and feel you’re looking for, there are several qualities to choose from, like high-resilience foam and memory foam. The raw material for foam was previously based entirely on virgin fossil materials. But today, together with our suppliers, we’ve begun developing a material that is renewable and recycled.
