Sliding doors allow more room for furniture because they don’t take any space to open.

The soft-closing mechanism is integrated into the rails and catches the doors as they run on the rails so that they open and close slowly, quietly and softly.

First you mount the door frame on the wardrobe frame, then you mount each panel separately. This means that no mounting step involves a weight of more than 11 lbs, so you save both frustration and your back.

Several steps are pre-assembled at our supplier to save you time when assembling your sliding doors at home.

You mount the panels one by one in the frame and then secure them easily with the snap-on function. You can just as easily remove the panels and replace them without having to disassemble the entire solution.

It’s easy to renew the look of your PAX wardrobe by replacing panels on the sliding door. This allows you to create a whole new style without having to buy a whole new wardrobe.

Why pair a grey cover w/Black Frame?SabrinaI got it in black. There is a dust cover that covers the top of the outside sliding door with the silver frame. It’s gray. With the black frame, it’s also gray, WHY? Make it in black! just because it’s on the top of the unit does not mean you cannot see it. You can see the top of it and it looks like a white line on top of the black frame! The horizontal brackets or whatever the technical name is, are hard to move they get stuck. I had to spray WD40 on them to move them properly. Thank God, I had it in the house. You need to pre-oil them so that they move easily. You put petroleum jelly on other things you should put it on this item as well so that they move easily. The inside door even w/ the side panels to cover the gaps, the top sits out, and the bottom does not, even w/ adjusting the door, it only adjust up and down. It does not adjust in and out so you need to figure out a way to adjust it inward so that it’s closer to the closet so there are no gaps on the side at the top. 3
Excellent product MiguelEccellent product. The assembly was pretty easy once I found a YouTube video that pretty much broke down the process for me. My only issue is with inside lights. The right side doesn’t turn off when I close the door. Not sure if is because of the clear doors. 5

Screws are wrong or they strip too easilyAaronI have received 2 of these and both seem to have incorrect pre-installed screws/the screws strip so easily because it is very difficult to screw them in (much more difficult than the videos online show). The hex key is damaged from screwing them in after one time because you are literally creating grooves in the metal. They seem to be using wood screws in metal. Customer service's solution is to replace the product instead of find the root cause, or pay task rabbit to put it together to show me how to screw in a screw. The products I have are both from lot number 2333-41. Maybe someone higher up can help me solve this issue because my guess is that production line number will have these issues and you will continue to ship product that will fail costing more money.1
PAX Sliding DoorsIngridI bought PAX 10 years ago and the quality was superior but that is another discussion. I just purchased 2 sliding door wardrobes. For some reason the plastic mechanism in the bottom track rubs and it sounds like a cheap product. My prior PAX does not have this plastic component so I am wondering if it is part of the soft close mechanism which used to be on top. Can someone please help me?1

New frame design easer assembly; TERRIBLE instructions.Anonymous reviewerIKEA has changed the design of the sliding doors, so that you now assemble and hang the doors, and then insert the panels while hanging. Having built a dozen or so IKEA furniture items, I have experience… but have say the instructions for this door were Terrible. Been stuck for days in properly hanging the doors. The product video they have is good, but skips steps. Come on! Why skip how to correctly hang the second panel. It just magically appears. Unclear how to swap the position of inner/outer door. It looks like I put it in correctly, but my outer door is still too high and doesn't reach the bottom click-in rail -- even after lowering the top hinges. Frustrating. Good luck peoples.2

Really happy with these sliding doors. They save space and look great. Very difficult to instal, the PAX wardrobes have to be 100% perfect to fit them, but definitely worth the effort.

Function solution

Easier and faster to assemble

Half the time, a third as many screws and a fraction of the work is the result of us updating the construction of our sliding doors with panels for PAX wardrobes. The big difference is that now you first hang the door frame on the wardrobe frame and then mount the panels. And while we were at it, we integrated the soft closing function and slimmed down the entire construction to save materials and free up more storage space. Easier, faster and better!
