Lots of extra spaceAnonymousI used three of these to create a new closet for my wife. I'd read that the instructions are horrible, and I thought people were exaggerating. Fortunately, I looked up a video and watched it before the material arrived. because they are horrible. IKEA should just have a QR code that links to a video on assembly. Because I had watched a video, I was able to easily install the 93" high units by myself. I think my wife is happy with them. I am concerned that the brackets for the hanging rods will fail at some point. I guess time will tell.4
Nice closet storage optionScottAlthough I appreciate the the concept, the sturdiness of the wall panels are made cardboard. Have concerns about the long term durability of the product.4
New pax system.DebbieI have put several of the old pax systems together with great success and good instructions. This new system not so much. Instructions were not very clear and the product does not seem as sturdy or as well made.3
PAX ClosetBinhWe had Ikea designer helped us to create a nice closet system with our limited closet space. V everything went well throughout the design and ordering process. On the delivery day, Ikea's contractors delivered everything except for one large panel (the contractor said the piece was broken so they declined to pickup that piece from Ikea's location (Charlotte to Cary, NC)). So we ended up contacting Ikea to have the remaining piece deliver. But Ikea said they can't deliver until 2+ weeks later. So, we had to make another trip from Cary to Charlotte to pickup the piece ourselves. On the assemble part, Ikea said we can request Task Rabbit to schedule the install which we did. The cost was a little higher but it went well.
Overall, we liked the PAX Closet system. If we didn't have to follow up with multiple calls and another 2-hours back and forth trip to pickup the broken piece ourselve (at our expenses), the rating would have been 5 stars.4

Great for extreme organization of a closet!TaraI love how customizable this closet is. I just wish ikea wouldn’t make their own unique hardware to assemble it. If you make one little error putting it together it’s a nightmare to edit or fix.
Also, for the money spent (over $1,000) I wish the material wasn’t a flimsy plywood!

Functional!DebraI couldn’t be happier with this self installed closet system. They think of everything. The closet boxes wee easy to anchor to the wall and accentuate was a breeze. The drawer guides are smooth and support the drawers. Shelving pins secure with a screw so that won’t fall out. I opted not to get doors since the whole room is the closet now. I can’t say enough good things about the system and IKEA! So impressive!!! 5
Perfect - MargaretI used these for a whole wall in my home office and now just did a whole wall in our spare bedroom /grandkids playroom - they look marvelous and all the kid’s toys are on the bottom shelves with linen on uppers - and life is good!5
