The worst sofa everPaolaThis is by far the worst sofa I have ever purchased. The seat cushions are ridiculously short — your legs hang off awkwardly, and the cushions started bending and sagging within days. They feel flimsy and offer zero support.
The chaise is a structural failure. When you lie down, your hips sink lower than your feet, making it impossible to relax. It feels like a factory defect that somehow passed quality control.
The fabric is a magnet for every hair and particle — after just two weeks, the sofa looked old, dirty, and worn out. Even worse, the cushion covers don’t even fit properly. They’re too small for the cushions, so they’re constantly misaligned, wrinkled, and look totally off and uneven. No matter how you try to fix them, it just looks weird and cheap.
IKEA really missed the mark with this one. This isn’t affordable design — it’s disposable discomfort. Avoid at all costs.1
Comfy and functional CatherinePerfect sofa for a college apartment. It is very comfortable. Functional for extra seating for study sessions or hosting Dancing with Stars ✨ night. 5
Love this sofa! Anonymous reviewerWe needed a small sofa for our new apartment. We were lucky enough to find this one in the "as-is" section so it was definitely in our budget. There was absolutely nothing wrong with it and it was fully assembled! We have a pup who spends a lot of time on the sofa so it was important to be able to wash the covers. It's super easy to get the covers off and back on (I did NOT put them in the dryer). The sofa is comfy and we spend most of our time on the chaise looking out at our view. 5
Worst Ikea productGokhanThis is the first time I use such a bad IKEA product. It is very uncomfortable. The reclining area and the joint are bent. The gap between the cushions is open. We do not use it now. We cannot return it because my wife cannot bear weight. It remains as an unused item in our house.1
Poor quality FionaDefinitely different from store demo. One seat cushion developed a big dent after just 2 months. The chaise cushion isn't big enough to cover the support properly. The fabric holds on to everything like velcro. Assembly was a pain. This is the first time I'm disappointed by an Ikea couch. Thinking about returning.1
meh. It's okay. AmyI bought it because it's got a metal frame and all the cushion covers are washable. That said, getting the cushion covers on was a huge pain. They're super tight, so if they shrink even a millimeter in the wash, they'll never go back on. Also because of the design of the sofa, the bottom cushions lean back, which is weird and leaves the chaise cushion sort of sticking up. I might try shoring it up with some foam under the cushions. It's fine, but I wouldn't buy it again. 3
UncomfyPawanBad worst uncomfortable no worth I can't sit for sec only the product demo on store good soft i1
4.4/5JosephSturdy and comfortable. Not a cushy couch if that’s what you want. Assembly was just ok, but hey it’s worth it imo. Zipper to the cover came off the teeth while I was putting it on, very tight. Chaise flap attachment got stuck in the cover to a velcro for me, in case you can’t find it either. Overall I do recommend. 4
It’s what you’d expect :)ElizabethI’ve had other ikea couches, so I disregarded all the reviews about putting it together. If you aren’t even the slightest mechanically inclined you’re shopping at the wrong store. This couch was so easy to put together than other past couches we bought from here. Just follow the instructions carefully there was one part where it wanted you to use a tool to rotate the pole to get to latch. Other than that this was a breeze! It’s not the comfiest of couches but it’s decent, a good price point and looks great in a room! 4
Ok for price, style, and size. AlisonWe bought this couch as newly weds two years ago. Overall we like it. Over time the middle section (most sat on I believe) started to creak whenever it’s sat on. We are a military family and move a lot, so for the price and style it works. And the size. It’s small which I like bc it can fit in different rooms/houses. And we need that versatility! It is harder than we expected, and definitely not comfortable when you’re pregnant, but it’s a couch. Does the job! 3
Great couchMichaelaThis was a great couch for our first apartment. I love the color and the linen-like material is very soft. I will say it’s firmer than I expected since the description said “soft.” Took my boyfriend and I about 3 hours to assemble. It feels like a sturdy couch. The chaise stool is the only part that has storage so it’s not a lot but anything is better than nothing. There was a hole in one of the cushion covers near the zipper. And some loose thread on the couch cover. Overall, we love this couch!5
Great couch for 1st apartmentTheresaI bought this for my daughter's first apartment and it was easy to bring up in a minivan (3 boxes). Set up took a little longer but overall, it was pretty easy. Great color, style, and comfort. She loves relaxing on it with friends or working on her laptop to watching tv.

nothing like show room modelRachelshow room model was very comfortable and i feel like it had different cushions inside the covers than what we assembled at home. immediately upon assembling the apartment smelled like formaldehyde from the cushions, the cushions were too big for the cases and needed to be shoved in with both my partners and i’s strength, and they’re too firm to be comfortable. the assembly process took about four hours and pulling the fabric over the frame to hook into the elastic was painfully exhausting. when you sit on the chaise the tail end sticks up in the air from how firm the cushion is. you’ll need an extra pillow behind your back to stop it from hurting due to the metal frame behind the cushions and no real support system. not worth $800 after tax, at this point it’s easier to just get used legitimate furniture for the same price with more comfort.
only giving 2 stars because of IKEA’s great return and refund policy, so i don’t have too much regret over the purchase.2
GarbageGabrielDon’t waste your money on this couch, it’s garbage. It is incredibly uncomfortable. The seating and cushions are cheap and slanted. The bar in the back constantly is pressing on your back irrespective of what you do with the cushions. The cloth wrap does not stay attached on the back and is unsightly. Just all around a poor piece of furniture for the price.1
regret it!JaneAssembly was fine but the components really made me question why I paid so much for a couple big metal poles and some particle board. First sign of things to come was the slip cover never fit properly and is a huge pain to put on. I never end up washing them because the batting interior is a magnet for all the dust and pet fur in my home and then reattaching them is a struggle. I think its bad design or mine slipped by QC, it is too tight and can't be zipped, leaving a 5 inch gaping hole in the back. I'm stuck with it against a wall no matter what! The piping edges never align correctly either so it looks permanently sloppy and uneven. I don't know if I'd have the same problem with a replacement but they're not cheap and the material is really rough and uncomfortable so I don't want to even bother. The cushions itself too are just not nice to sit on being really stiff. If I could go back in time I would pass on this one. Bad value and the easy maintenance advertised is not there.2
Very regretful purchaseSamSuper uncomfortable couch and am not able to resell it to anyone. Stay far away!1
Rough material, Chaise sagged in 2 days, very hard to assembleRajatI strongly advise against purchasing this item from Ikea, as it turned out to be one of my worst buys. The assembly process was incredibly frustrating, taking a full three days, and I had to deviate from the given instructions as they were impractical. The cushions provided were of low quality and uncomfortable, with the cover material feeling rather rough. Additionally, the back support failed to stay in place, adding to my disappointment with the overall product.1
I am enjoying the firmSoniaI am enjoying the firm and comfortable sofa w/chaise. I like the
gray it’s like a bluish-gray which does not takeaway from the oak tv stand.
The instructions were easy to read for the assembling of the sofa w/chaise.5
Not sturdy and hard metalChristopherI had a klippan for 12 years and it was time for a larger couch. We wanted a couch our vacuum could go under like the Klippan that had a chaise. When I got home I was surprised to find the couch had no wooden frame, it’s more like a hammock with cushions. And the back of the couch is a metal bar. I would not buy this product again and rethink my purchase. I do not think it will last 12 years. I wish a larger klippan existed with a chaise.1
Unsatisfied with quality and comfort level zero I regret wasting the money on this cheap couchLilianaCushions sink with little use by one small person. Main frame Cover was impossible to stretch enough to zipper closed. I barely have like 3 weeks with it and it’s really uncomfortable. Literally every section of the couch is really sink in . So when you sit down you literally feel like you folding yourself in it . Really though it was going to be worth since I’m like a hour away from the IKEA I got it from . Especially not satisfied with wasting on a couch that is 799.00$ plus taxes . Hope you guys see my review and we can do something about this .1
