Great productCharlesThis is one great product and worth every bit of the money5
Great!JessicaThese doors were exactly what I needed to finish off my built-in bookcases. Installing overall was easy. And utilizing a few of the shelves to prop up the door while they snapped into place on the hinges, made it seamless. They are sturdy, feel durable and do not feel cheap.5
Love my new cabinets!AnitaI bought 2 Billy double cabinets with glass door to store my fabric stash in. They are beautiful. The first delivery had damage to one door and they customer service desk replaced it without question. Very happy with my order!! Will order these again!5
Oxberg Doors for Billy BookcaseDanielPurchased these after a co-worker recommended that I enclose my bookcase to prevent dust. The glass panes are a great feature, and I picked up alternate knobs from a Home improvement website. Overall, great fit, and the new knobs (black zinc square design (1 1/16 | 27 mm, perfect fit).5
The Perfect BookcaseVictoriaI bought this to fit beside my other bookcase to fill in my wall. This collection is the best for fitting your needs. I have three sets of these bookcases. Brightens my room up and makes it happy. 5
Unsafe when used with Billy bookcaseDavidSelling this as a pairing is a serious design flaw and places the public at risk. This door is unsafe when mounted on a Billy bookcase. The Billy bookcase has an 11" base. Therefore, the center of gravity is high. With the glass doors, the center of gravity moves forward, since the melamine backing does not provide an adequate counterweight. The bookcase immediately began to tip over on my wife and I when we opened the doors, even with heavy books on the bottom shelf. Thus, all support depends on the wall anchor. Our home construction does not use wooden studs, so we would depend on dry-wall anchors. I would recommend that only toggle-locking dry wall anchors, rated for 100 lbs be used. With two, providing support for about 200 lbs of weight. For our home, in an earthquake zone, with risk of children climbing, it is not worth the risk. There are news reports of anchored IKEA furniture falling on toddlers. I do appreciate IKEA's customer service making this easy to return. 1
Perfect addition.TammyGlass doors look fantastic and add an upscale look to a basic, yet attractive, bookshelf.5
Yarn roomCarolannI bought this item to store my yarn. It worked very well.4
Missing Hardware CindyOrdered four doors, one box had no hardware or instruction booklet included. Had to wait for replacement hardware to ship. Assembly is straightforward and easy ....IF the parts are all there.1

Bookshelf doorsLindaVery happy with this product5
Be careful about the doors. IKEA needs to edit the instruction manualSheldonThe bookcase is great and so are the doors be be warned, there is a top and a bottom on the doors and it's not always clear which way is which. I installed one door upside down so when the doors were closed, the middle wood frame that goes across the middle wasn't lined up. I also made the mistake of installing the handle before I realized that the doors were not lined up. So I recommend that you make sure the doors are installed correctly BEFORE you install the knobs, otherwise you will have a hole on one of the doors where the knob used to be. IKEA, please edit your instructions so that customers understand that the OXBERG has a top and bottom so that the hardware is installed correctly4
Really look greatJoannieLove these glass doors5
Goes well with Billy bookcase.MarkThe only way these could look better is if they made a frameless version. Two things as far as installation put them on with the bookcase lying on its back unless you have it already anchored to the wall otherwise the it’s going to want to fall forward. The second thing is attaching the handles the only way to get them tight is to use pliers to hold them. If you don’t have pliers with a rubber covered jaws it will mark the handles. Unless someone really examines it most people won’t notice.4
Bought an extra for my kitchen!BarbaraSo easy to assemble and love the adjustable shelves! Bought an extra one to house appliances in my kitchen.5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
