No magnet to keep door closedRosarioThe door is fine. Looks good but disappointing to realize that there is no hardware included to keep it closed. It feels incomplete. Considering the door costs almost as much as the Billy bookcase, doesn’t seem like a good value for a pretty piece of wood.
Just what I needed BrianI actually never knew these were an option. I was looking to get a few more Billy Bookcases and stumbled on these doors. I ordered 2 and the installation couldn't have been easier. Took me 5-10 minutes per door and they look great. They give the bookcases a cleaner look. Actually looking into a few more
Easy to buildAliciaSolid bookcase for the price
It’s all I wanted and I would buy it again GeorgiaLove it
Solid doorKatherineFinally a solid door for the billy bookcase! Door works great and hides all my stuff.
They do not fit the tall BillyAnonymous reviewerPurchased 3 of the taller Billy bookcases. Then purchased 3 of the matching Oxberg doors. They do not fit. The 3 hinge brackets are not aligned such that you can adjust up and down. The main connecting screw between the hinge and door also do not align, meaning there is no way to connect the door to the bookcase without adding a washer to fill the space. Worst Ikea product in 25+ years of buying.

Material
What is fibreboard?
Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
