Works well in limited applicationsXiaolongI thought it is a great idea when I saw it in the store. It can be used on non-stick surfaces and it is light and won't rust/rot easily. But it does have couple draw backs. The tip is a bit slippery so some food is slightly harder to grab. Rather than traditional silicon tipped metal tongs that grip food, it requires more delicate touch to hold food. It is almost like a thicker pair of chop sticks. So, it is really good at flipping things that are being fried or boiled. But as an all purpose tong, it will be harder to use. I need to keep in mind the angle and orientation of the tip vs the shape of food in order to have a solid grip. Cleaning is easy and I hand wash it. It doesn't stain easily which is a plus.4
