We bought three!RubenWe love these chairs so much we bought three. They are very comfortable and have a headrest, which most side chairs do not. Highly recommended!5
Good and beautiful chairYormanGood and beautiful chair but little uncomfy for the neck if your TV is on top of the fireplace. High quality materials and excellent finishing.4
Love this armchair!Elizabeth I love everything about this armchair. It is comfortable, light, easy to assemble. Its wearing well and the color is very pleasing5
Beautiful and well madeElizabethThis chair only have one problem for me, it's designed for a taller people, so when I sit for long time it doesn't feel so comfortable, however it's beautifully made, the fabric is excellent4
Sturdy chairDeniseI'd give this a 4.5, if I could. This chair was easy to assemble and is both sturdy and comfortable (if a bit firm). However, the seams that allow the fabric to curve are uneven. On the floor model, they lay perfectly flat. On mine, some of the ends stick up in little points. It's not a deal-breaker, but it's unsightly. (General comment: Ikea, please don't be so quick to suggest people return things. Some of us, like me, live an hour from the nearest Ikea and would need help to load heavy items into our SUVs or, of we own only small cars, borrow a friend's car or truck again. Returning, then, is often a significant challenge, and many of us would rather keep an imperfect item than make that trek again.)4
Really Comfortable ChairEvieThe Oskarshamn chair is wonderful, it is the right height for someone under 5'4", the seat is the perfect depth and the greyish color blends with our grey/green couch. It also supports my neck and shoulders and we are really pleased with it. The springs in the seat make it very comfortable.5
Large ledge in backrestTinaI tested this chair in the store and loved how comfortable it was. I ordered one for delivery. The one I received today has a large ledge (5 inches difference) where the lower portion sticks out further than the top portion. It’s incredibly uncomfortable. The unit in the store was certainly not like this. 2
Gray chairLindaLove the chair easy to put together if it’s perfect where I wanted it to go love love love it comfortable5
favorite chairLizit's comfortable, beautiful color, nice texture.. i love it.. headrest is a little wobbly -- probably my mistake, but still ... if there were another color besides gray i would buy a second one.. footstool is essential5
Great KateThis chair is supportive and comfortable. The back is perfectly reclined with ample head support to relax and watch a movie. The cat also loves to curl up on it, so it’s a winner in our house. (The only minor negative is that after installing the top per directions, it has a little wiggle to it. We tried a few things to correct it without success)5
Nice chairDanielaI really like this chair. However, I gave only 3 stars because after putting it together i feel the quality does not match the high price tag. The material is ok, doesn’t seem very durable nor the bottom cushion. I buy items to last. I still have the first three drawer dresser i bought at IKEA in 1989. (I believe it was the last months of 1989). So I’m concerned about this piece’s durability. At $449, it should definitely have lasting power. I guess we will see. I do love the high rounded back, a little more back cushion would also improve this chair.3
Comfortable!TomokoI felt my muscles sigh into the chair when I first tried it. Very comfortable. Good back height. Easy to put together5
It’s just okLynnMy husband likes it. I don’t care for it. 2
Doesn’t alignJohnJust two of them arrived this morning. The back top/headrest parts do not align and sit on the bottom back. The 2 long screws with part number of 10085840 do not screw all the way down for the top part of the back to sit on the bottom part. That means the top part wobbles! We have checked and test drive these at IKEA before making the purchase decision, yet still a disappointment. If it still no good by tomorrow, they are return for sure. Not an cheap purchase for a silly issue like this2
Comfort zoneAnonymous reviewerLove this chair and everyone wants to sit in it - I got in the as is section for 200 best day ever. Looks fab in my small LR, makes the room have a design. You feel enveloped & supported as you sit, its just as cool a chair you would find at design within reach. Only it’s a realistic price. 5
Gorgeous style and super comfortable too!JanineI love the modern curved styling. Super roomy and comfortable yet firm padding. Simple steps to put together5
Clean lines, comfortable chairKristinThis chair is sleek and comfortable. It was super easy to put together. Just know that once you put the top part on it's there forever! (not a problem, it is supposed to be there).5
Very comfortable Anonymous reviewerVery comfortable chair; easy assembly; well built.5
The good, The badLawrenceThe chair is attractive and comfortable. Unfortunately it won't last long. I had it delivered and professionally assembled by Ikea. The back will not tighten properly. The top porton of the back of the chair seems loose and poorly designed.. I'm afraid it will just break off while I'm sitting in it. I've had such an awful time with Ikea regarding this piece and a sofa purchased at the same time. Their customer service is awful. Not sure where they are but they speak to the customer like they were the enemy. I'm keeping the chair because I just can't deal with Ikea any more. I've given the chair to my 11 pound dog. She now owns her new expensive dog bed. Nothing else I can do with it. At some point I'll just toss it to revent an accident. What an awful experience.2

Designer thoughts

Designer thoughts

"Every home needs a peaceful place for me-time, and that's exactly what I wanted to create when I designed OSKARSHAMN. It’s a modern take on a classic wing chair combined with an ottoman that has practical storage under the seat. My idea is that this should be a quiet nook with an embracing feel, while the pieces of furniture also add a decorative touch to the room. Hopefully it will become an extra-favorite place in the home which everyone in the family can enjoy."
