OLSERÖD is two tables in one. A smart side table that you slide in front of you on the sofa to eat while watching TV – and then you can quickly transform it into a stylish coffee table when friends visit.

You can quickly transform this multifunctional table from a slightly higher side table into a lower coffee table to suit all the different activities that take place around the sofa.

The smart design of the side table allows you to slide the table top over your lap and enjoy a proper dinner while watching TV, without risking spills or the underframe getting in the way of your legs.

Stable to eat on and with a table top that has enough room for a plate, glass and cutlery – and the table top is easy to wipe clean when you're done.

You transform the table by removing the table top from the underframe, turning the underframe on its side and then fixing the table top in place again by using the fasteners under the table top.

The fabric pouch under the table top is a smart storage space for small items you want close at hand. The pouch is fixed to the underframe with touch-and-close fastening so it’s easy to remove and wash.

You can decide how tightly the pouch is fixed to the underframe. Looser screws make it possible to pivot the pouch, so it easily adjusts to the desired function.

A clean shape, an industrial expression and toned-down colors mean that the table goes with most decors and becomes a nice design element in the entire home.

You can easily lift and move the table around to use it in different rooms and contexts, for example by the armchair in the reading corner.

Great Side TableEchoThis is the perfect side table for me for my laptop and electric spinning wheel. I like that it has a hammock for my small items and that it can change with a new space if needed.5
Good, but...JenniferI love the flexibility of these tables. I have two and am able to "nest" them by having one tall and the other "short." They were easy to assemble and stable. (As long as I don't put them on the edge of the area rug, but that's user error. As other's have stated, the tables are not waterproof. There are several spots in which water has gotten under the finish and created discoloration and "bubbles." The plastic clips are also not very durable. We snapped one of them the first week we had it. If you need to pick it up and carry it when there is stuff on it, be sure to grab it by the metal frame and not the tabletop. There's nothing worse than losing your dinner because you've picked the table incorrectly and everything goes flying. I wouldn't recommend these for families with small children if you are using at as a tray table. They are stable but not "toddler learning to walk" stable.3
Disappointing ProductMikeVery disappointed in this product. So much so that I am driving my online purchases back to IKEA 45 minutes away in order to return them. The manufacturing is off, the holes don’t line up exactly, the screws (multiple) stripped almost as soon as I tried to screw them in, the top is loose and will not “snap” on snugly, and it took me over an hour just to (barely) put one together. The only thing I liked was the canvas pouch to hold remotes and stuff. I love IKEA, have tons of plates and shelves and tables in my home, and have been a family member for years and years. But this tray is not for me.2
Light and portableMaryAlthough it takes some time to built I feel if you had an electric tool it would cut the time significantly. I am happy I found a table that is not plastic. I don’t know about the staining that people are commenting because I am using this table to do my school work around the house. Very easy to carry, light, and adaptable. I am happy to even carry into my bedroom for late night studies. I am so happy I found this item.5
You can't even wipe down this table without damaging itColeNo sooner did I finish building it and go to wipe down the top of it did the finish of the particle board become completely warped and ruined. For a product being sold as a table, this is completely unacceptable. Beyond disappointed with this product.1

HOWEVER, i set it up yesterday and set my cup of iced coffee (on a coaster!) on the table this morning and the moisture that came off damaged the particle board instantly. Lesson learned: don't set drinks down on this table. 3

So Much Potential, Poor ExecutionJenniferI love the design and functionality but there are significant design flaws. The top looks like it's sealed and is water resistant -- it is NOT (a Lack is more water proof). The metal frame is wobbly and not level. 2

Nice flexable use table, but plastic tabs break easilyNicoleThe table is nice, but the tabs that hold the table top in place will pop and break. Also the ones on the side/bottom will catch the edges of rugs and break. Replacements can be ordered, but that's a hassle as well.4
Good, but needs major improvementJosephThe functionality is decent, and the construction is solid. But the design for clipping the tabletop to the frame is VERY poor. The clips do a poor job at retention. I suppose it's find it you just leave it in place and never handle the table, but for something that gets moved around, the clips don't hold well AT ALL.3

UnstableAartiI wanted to love this table and I love IKEA products in general for their design and usability. But this one is not sturdy at all. The table is not stable, a cup of coffee can easily spill even with a minor touch to to the table. Within few months of purchase the top is completely mobile. I am disappointed with this table and would not recommend.3

Top Absorbs OilTandisSo sad because I love this table I found it easy to assemble it works perfectly, just be super careful when you do the clips to make sure they're perfect. However mysterious stains started to take hold immediately. They look like oil stains. Nothing to do to remove them. It's so disappointing - Can I please come back to the store for a new top?3
