Well designed, not a thought out color scheme.WynneSo I had another one of ikea’s platform beds, the one with two drawers. This one was great I had it for five years. The lip kept the bed in place and the inside of the drawers were a DARKER GREY COLOR which matched with the black. Even though you could only see the inside of the drawers when they were opened. Then I bought this one. It’s black everywhere EXCEPT, the inside of the drawers THAT YOU CAN SEE from the outside due to the cut out. They give you anti skid stickers for your mattress that don’t really work, it’s not mattress specific being that I have an ikea mattress as well. Over all for $500 yes it’s cute but I wish they would have thought it out better. I’d expect this at the price for the other one (was $300). 3

Solid and functional baseJohnI purchased both the bed and the headboard. I am satisfied with the bed as it will provide a solid base for a Queen sized mattress, and plenty of available storage. The soft-close drawers are particularly nice and roomy. The bed is not physically attached to the wall (as is the headboard), so it can be moved if necessary. Regarding assembly, the bed went together fairly easily with few issues. I only had to disassemble one portion due to unclear directions (or my misunderstanding). The "L" shaped tool provided for the proprietary head fasteners is barely sufficient and the design requires you to do lots of quarter and half-turns. A different fastener that allowing for standard tools would be a big customer satisfaction improvement. Given the choice to do it again, I would purchase the bed, but I would think twice before purchasing the accompanying headboard that must be mounted to a wall.4

Simple, sturdy bedLeslieThis is a simple, sturdy storage bed. I bought it to replace a more stylish but cheaper bedframe, which squeaked and scratched up my floors. This is a much simpler design, but the quality is good for the price and it has a very stable feel. The bed includes nice features such as soft-close drawer slides, and the drawers are large. I paired it with an upholstered headboard, and it disappears into the background and just does its job.5

What is fibreboard?

Fiberboard is a stable and durable material made of leftover wood from the wood industry. A durable outer layer of paint or laminate is added to the board. The difference between various types of fiberboards, such as HDF and MDF, is mainly the thickness, yet also how impact-resistant they are. This determines if we will use them for bed frames, sofa frames, kitchen fronts, wardrobe doors, or something completely different.
