Great versatile tableMichelleThis is a great utility table that can be used for multiple purposes. Love the size versatility and the drawers.
5 star table with 1 star quality controlChrisI love this table. I use it in our gaming room and for that it's perfect.
However, there are negatives. The quality control is awful. This is specifically for the birch version. I don't think the white version that doesn't use real wood is worth it at this price.
First, neither of the table ends line up with the center console due to how the hinge holes were predrilled. Both are just slightly off. Is it super noticeable? No. Does it bug me? Yes.
Second, don't attempt to screw in the hinges without an impact driver. The holes are way too small and like others here have said, you'll strip the screw heads trying to get them in without an impact driver.
Third, on two drawers, the slots to slide in the bottom cardboard piece were misaligned. For the first time ever I had to take out my table saw for Ikea furniture and widen the slots for the pieces to fit.
For the above defects it would have been nice to get it at a bigger discount.

Perfect Sewing Table KarenI’ve been looking for a drop leaf table to use in my sewing room. The room is small, so the flexibility of folding the leaves up or down to meet my needs is perfect! This table is very sturdy and can hold my machine. The depth is perfect because I can use my Vivalla Tablet Stand to hold my patterns and still have plenty of space for sewing large quilts. I generally leave one leaf up and fold one down and it fits perfectly in my space. The drawers give lots of space for my sewing equipment. This piece looks beautiful in my space as well as being functional.

Perfect tableAmyI can’t say enough good things about the Norden Gateleg table. I have it in Birch and it is perfect for my sewing needs. The ability to have various work area sizes is fantastic and its’ compact silhouette is great!
Perfect size for a small space.CalvinI purchased this table for a small beach cottage for the additional storage space as well as having another table to eat at when guest come over. I only wish it was shipped put together instead of sending 500 hundred pieces that requires a structural engineering degree. lol
Great multi-purpose table with small drawersChrisWe needed a desk for a small space. By keeping the one side folded down, we're able to fit this piece of furniture into that space. While we can only access one side of drawers (the back 3 are up against the wall), this works for us. Easy IKEA instructions to put it all together.
Gateleg Table is fabulous!MariaThis is a solid and beautiful table. It’s design is fabulous and with size built in drawers is ideal for a crafting room. The leaves are solidly supported by the gateleg and works beautifully.
It is perfect for my needs in my sewing room. One thing that I will add to the table are wheels so that I can move it when needed. I needed a cutting table that would fit. This table is perfect and the drawers add to it’s purpose SusanIKEA is the best retailer to shop. They are very helpful in the stores and on the phone. They stand by their products. I have purchased items from furniture to house plants. I have always been satisfied with my purchase. I also enjoy searching the food items. There is deli out candy, cookies and smoked Salmon.
Great QualityJeffreyThis unit is well constructed, the wood on it is thick and not that flimsy stuff, it was easy to assemble and very stable when used. I will caution that it is heavy when you are putting it together, nothing a person can't handle with another helping on some of the install steps.

Great, versatile unit!LindaI bought one of these tables years ago for craft projects. My husband confiscated it for HIS projects so I decided it was time to get a second one. The quality of this one is just as good as the one that was purchased over 10 years ago - this is a nice heavy piece that tucks into a corner when the sides are collapsed and a pretty good sized table when both leaves are expanded. It’s versatile and can be configured for a variety of sizes. (And it would be great for a dining table if you are in a small space or need a few extra seats!) I wouldn’t hesitate to buy another if the need arises.
Looks great,love the storage, long legs have troubleRuthI love how the table looks. The drawers are very deep which means I can fit a package of napkins without folding them. The only issue we have is that two seats at the table are a problem for people with long legs due to the parts that swing out to hold the tabletop up. We shuffled our seats around and made it work. It’s fairly easy to open and close half the table when we want the extra space, either in the room or at the table. I ordered online without having tried it first but we’re generally satisfied with it.

very difficult to put togetherKellannow that the assembly is done, i'm very happy to have the table. fits perfectly, looks great, and is exactly what i need. the headache of the assembly will fade away but 90% of the screws pre-drilled holes are way too small. i had to widen every single one with a drill, which i've never had to do with anything from here before. the assembled one in my store was very wobbly, which i assume is because the person who put it together there didn't want to have to widen every hole!! since i did, mine is stable and sturdy.
Wood isn't sealed properlyAnonymous reviewerI would have given this 5 stars, but the sides of the table top aren't sealed properly, meaning any liquids risk completely ruining it. Someone spilled a glass of water on mine yesterday and the wood immediately warped along the edge. It's a ridiculous oversight for any wood product, especially a table, and especially for this price. Very disappointing.
Screws too large EmilyI was so excited to get this table but the screws that they came with are not the right size for the holes. There are 24 of them and after spending hours trying to make it work I had to go back and forth to the hardware store to find something else to work (still in the process) It is incredibly frustrating to put together
