HARD AS A ROCKScottListen to the reviews - this couch is hard as a rock. The regular Morabo couch is so much better - but this one with the bed is terrible.1
DON'T DO IT!EThe Sofa looks fantastic, but it is the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever owned. It sits horrible and sleeps even worse. The design is very slick, but it just is ridiculously uncomfortable. The cushions you sit on flip over to become the mattress which would seem like an obvious thing to do, but they are like bricks. I'd explain why this is the case but it's easy to figure out. That said, I returned it to IKEA 2 months later with no hassle and got a full refund. Of which I will buy something else at IKEA, Customer service was excellent.1
Virtually impossible to convert to sleeperAllenThe process of pulling the bottom portion out to convert it to a sleeper is virtually impossible to do alone. You have to lift the whole couch up in order to get it to roll out. I’m pretty shocked the engineers allowed this to get put into production the way it is. And unfortunately you don’t figure this out until after you’ve put the entire thing together since there’s no way to try it in store.1
Hair-thin leather, cardboard coreRubenIt works great if you open it and use as a couch-bed. We actually like it a lot, but the quality is very poor. Most of this couch is cardboard though, just FYI.2
Hard as a rockKenIt looks great, but it is so uncomfortable to sit on. I have it in a rental and will need to replace it.1
leg just broke - poor qualityAdelinareally poor quality ; leg broke in less than one year; the mount in the frame for the leg is not properly reinforced; the frame is shaky. 1
uncomfortable AmmarI have had these sofas since Dec 2024. Over 4 months later and everyone has complained on the firmness. Once you sit for at least an hour, there is not comfortable seating position. Yet alone if you want to sleep on the sofa sideways, you will go move to your bed after 30 mins. horrible product. 1
Color OptionsAna-MariaIt seems a pretty nice couch but I really I wish they'd have this in white/ivory color. Is really checking all the boxes is: couch, bed, storage, quality leather, but the lack of color options is a bit disappointing for IKEA that carries a lot of white, clean modern look furniture.5
Good for the money. GaryWhen sleeping the cushion is a little hard. A good topper really helps. 4
As firm as wood Bench :(JacquelineI am so frustrated with my purchase. I bought the armchairs Morabo and love it however, the sofa bed version could not be more uncomfortable. I do not think its going to be better over time so I am definitely returning. 1
Excellent for firm sofa loversJordanYes, there are some bad reviews for this sofa and honestly I think it's just because some people really want to sink into their couch. I, being a larger guy, and having a Great Dane, we like firm couches. It's just simply more comfortable. And if you don't like it, that's fine.
It looks absolutely incredible, the leather is fantastic. Yes, it is firm, and the mechanisms for the pull out bed are extremely solid compared to other Ikea sleeper sofas.
If you want a marshmallow, get a Lovesac, if you like firm and mid mod, this is THE sofa for your family.5
Omg, the leg just broke!KristopherI’ve loved this sleeper sofa. We have another couch in the same family. As I was sitting down, I heard a crunching sound.
I turned the couch over to the back and noticed the back leg was not straight. As I looked closer, the wood brace was cracked, it was not like this during the build. But now, I can’t get the leg to stay without just bending underneath. 3
Everything is good, except the priceYanOnly bad thing is the price, whatever IKEA is not a luxury furniture brand4
Guest sleeper and couchLindaThis was a bit difficult to put together. Once done we had a guest and tried to put sheets on it, which is tricky because they don't tell you what size. Since it was fairly hard, we ended up putting a foam pad on it, then a mattress pad, then the sheets. Our guest said it was comfortable and now that he is gone, we took all the sheets, etc., off and it is now an office couch. A very hard one, but still a place to sit. It looks pretty!4
It's modern and looks good, but Its really FirmWilliamJust like others have posted, it's really firm and I'm hoping over time it will get better. The design and look are exactly what i wanted however, it really is firm. My house visitors have said it really looks good but its really hard to sit on. I also have the sectional in the same style and color and its the opposite, its very comfortable to sit on unlike the sleep sofa. The bed is very firm but isn't bad to sleep on with a soft topper. The size seems like it's in between a full and a queen. I am 6'4" and i can lay on both the sofa and bed comfortably. It seems like Ikea could have used the soft cushions that are on the regular sofa on the sleep sofa. The picture with the lady sitting on it is not the sleep sofa because it has thick cushions which the sleep sofa doesn't have. I do really love the look of this sofa, i just wish they could have made it softer to sit on and sleep on. 3
firmChristianEvery time I sit on this I'm shocked at how firm it is. I'm hoping over time it will get better. The design and look is great. The build isn't too hard. The bed seems like it wouldn't be bad to sleep on. However, every time I sit on the couch I practically bounce off because its so stiff. Still like it though. 3
basement sofa, love it so farAlexBought this sofa for my basement to have an extra sleeper that could function as a pull out for movie night without buying an ottoman. It fits 4 wide pretty comfortably, I love it so far one month in!5
