Does not hold up to kidsAngelaRight after the one year warranty was up the armrest fell apart. Reading online reviews this has happened to many others.2
"not modular"CraigIkea's claim they are committed to sustainability is false. They won't allow us to upconvert our individual sofas into a sectional by simply selling the corner unit to join them into a sectional. Ikea states that the Morabo isn't modular, but it 100% is. They really just want us to throw away couches and buy new ones. That is not a sustainable practice.1
False advertising — fake leather on cushions peeling in less than 1 yearAustinCannot believe it — some parts of the couch, including the corner seat cushion, back cushions and one of the armrests are peeling and are therefore NOT real leather as advertised. They’re faux leather, real leather doesn’t peel, and they have already started to peel within less than a year. I paid roughly $2,300 for this in Dec. 2024 and it’s only Oct. 2025.1
Living roomGeneGreat ,comfortable so far. Had football party and I guess couldn’t believe it. It was from IKEA.5
Leather finish peeled quickly. MarkBought new in 2020 and by 2023 the leather finish started peeling badly. I live alone and am rarely home, so this is not an overuse issue. Even worse, Ikea stopped making the color of my couch, so I have no way of replacing the peeling sections. 1
Totally disappointed!!MonicaI had one of these Morabo sectional for 10 years. Now it's with a friend and still in great shape. I bought a new one, different color, just over 2 years ago. This one, within 2 years, started to peel on the cover seats where people sit frequently. There was no misuse, nothing but normal sit on the couch. I'm so disappointed because they say there is a 10-year warranty for this product, but it doesn't apply to this issue. It's not a cheap product, and now it looks super cheap. Bad quality! I'm totally disappointed!!1
Classic NatalieNice couch. Clean lines and classic. Fits nicely in our home. 5
love this sofa!TinaAfter suffering for 6 years with another, exceedingly uncomfortable, IKEA sofa (the name escapes me), we are so delighted with Morabo! Looks fabulous (in black leather), feels sumptuous, and is big enough for two people to stretch out fully extended. 5
Would be 5 stars…Anonymous reviewerWould easily be 5 stars, but the hardware was missing. The process to get the missing hardware was cumbersome and not clear. Then dispatching and shipment of the missing parts order took forever! It is disappointing that the Quality Control is so low on such a large item, and that correcting the problem was so arduous. Furthermore, it seems shortsighted to not stock missing/spare/replacement hardware from the very store we purchased from. Once the missing parts were ordered, there was no tracking, monitoring, or alerts as to where the order was or definitively when it would be delivered. The sectional itself is fantastic. It smells like real leather in a new car! Great design, easy to assemble, sturdy construction. A couple very small tears in the pleather on the corners of the main pieces, but the cushions were unscathed and seem to cover those imperfections well - perhaps another quality control issue. A bit of protective tape on the textiled corners may have prevented it.4
Still like new after 10 yearsValentinaWe bought this in a dark brown color probably about 10 years ago. It has held up to a lot of wear on one side and it still looks new. I hope the quality hasn’t decreased since then because we are about to buy a second one for another room in our house. 5
Major design flawKellyLove the couch, but it has a major design flaw. You need to cut two pieces of wood to put it together in a way that ensures it doesn’t squeak or rock every time you sit on the pieces that connect to the center. For this price, it’s really surprising we need to add pieces of wood to make it fully functional. Happy to send photos of the issue as needed. Solutioning took an extra hour and there were guides on Reddit. 2
Good productHowardSoft and comfy. Easy to install. Kind of cold when sitting on it4
Cushion covers don't lastKaraLoved the couch but, within 1.5 years, the covers have started to peel/wear away where people sit frequently. This is not excessive, high traffic wear and tear but normal, sit on the couch in the evening stuff. Buying new covers is going to cost 30%+ what we paid for the couch. 2
Very happy with the purchaseTaherVery happy with the purchase of this sofa. It's comfortable and well priced.5
MoraboLukasGreat replacement for our existing couch. Is bigger and we like the color a lot.5
Great looking sectionalChrisThis piece fits perfectly in our room and looks great. Not the most comfy couch of all time and the bottom has no cover, leaving the boards, cushioning, and springs exposed. We got the look we were going for, so all in all happy with the purchase.4
Owned for 1 yearAmberWe still like this couch. It still looks new and has held up to two pets and a 2yo. Easy to clean and looks nice. Still on the firm side, but more give than when we purchased it. We did buy extra legs (there were already holes for them) and appreciate that we can switch the orientation.5
Amazing!!!LaraWhen we sat on this in the store we knew we really liked it. Now that it is in my living room we love it!!!!! Well made. Very comfortable. I can’t say enough good things about it!5
SturdyChristelThis is a good quality couch. Leather is durable. I have dogs and it is holding up to their nails. Love the flexibility of switching left side to right orientation. Super easy to put together. It’s a little on the firm side. I wish it would reach a little higher on the back for support. Over all very pleased.5
Handsome leather sectionalNancyLove our new purchase This sectional was easy to assemble and is a comfortable addition to our office5

Accessories for MORABO

Material

What are leathers, skins and hides?

Leather is a durable material that we strive to produce as responsibly as possible. That’s why we only use by-products from the food industry and we have requirements for traceability to slaughterhouses, thereby ensuring ethically correct slaughters. The materials are then treated so that they’re usable for home decoration products. In this process we don’t allow the use of chrome, which is potentially harmful to both humans and the environment.
