Poor quality control, damaged corners every timeStephanieThis would be a great little table but I have now ordered / exchanged 3 tabletops and each arrived with significant damage to one or more corners, with the white covering chipped away exposing the wood underneath. It's a real shame as it's a nice, affordable table that fits perfectly in my space but the quality control and packaging for delivery is clearly inadequate and I can't recommend it.
Great tableTomI'm not sure who wrote that this is difficult to assemble - it practically puts itself together. It is indeed, very sturdy. The only thing I wish I knew prior to purchase is that the legs and frame are coated metal. Not sure how I missed that but I like it; I just wish I would have known.
There are 4 washers, 4 long screws, 4 shorter but thicker screws for the corners, 4 braces, 4 corner connectors, and 4 legs. You might have minor issues aligning the threaded holes in the legs with the opening in the corner bracket piece, but that's it. Very solid, very easy and a great purchase for the price.

Very Pleased With ProductGavinAssembly was very easy, hardest part was actually standing the table on its legs as most of the assembly is done with it upside down on the floor. Tools included which is nice, will purchase again in the future. It is not the prettiest table, but it does its job well.

Nice tableMikeWe read the reviews of screw puncturing the top of table and need to use a cardboard, etc but we managed to set up as per normal process and we have no issue. Installation was easy. Nice, sturdy table.
Screws punched through surface (like everyone else)DanielIf everyone is making the same mistake, it's not our fault. The consequence for missing some small print in the instruction shouldn't be a massive hole in the tabletop.

Cleans easily, stays white thus far!MarsieMy husband and I recently moved to a smaller place and needed a smaller table for the smaller space. We liked the white Melltorp tabletop with the Melltorp legs as the table is visually light and was fairly inexpensive. I was nervous about staining with getting a white tabletop; however, the tabletop surface is easy to clean and has yet to show any stains after three months of daily use. We typically use placemats under our dishes when eating' but, the times we have had spills/food droplets fall on the white surface they have clean up easily.
AnonymousOnly thing when I screw the first screw when all way to the other side. I forgot to put the spaces. Please I think on instructions should be aware that part.
Nightmare to put together.LorrieThe table is wonderful. Very sturdy and very solid. The only downside was it is a nightmare to put together. I literally needed to hold it in three different places in three different ways in order to put one screw and that would hold the table in the legs together. It did not recommend having two people and it really should.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
