Pretty but smellyNikkiGot these for my Kallax shelves/makeshift dresser. They're incredibly sturdy, and I believe it will hold my things well… but goodness gracious I cannot get the smell out. It's real wicker/rattan, which is great, but I did not anticipate how smelly it would be. To be fair, I'm pregnant so I think I have a stronger sense of smell…. but I refuse to put the baby blankets & clothes in the baskets until the smell is out. I've tried multiple things to remove the smell for the last 2 weeks with no luck. It was a gift from my registry, and I didn't get a receipt, so I'm trying to make it work!
Great Storage Baskets PatriciaWe purchased these for our son’s shelf in his closet. I wanted something he could see what was in it, but not look awful from the outside. This is the best of both worlds. A lot less confusion and it digging trying to find his clothing than we had with our prior solid bins. A win win for parents if a 12 year old.

Love, Love This BasketSusanI looked at all the different baskets and liked the design of this one the best. I bought four (4) to put on the bottom tier of my 4x4 Kallax. I was, however, iffy about all the holes, holding new small items to craft with. The only one I will probably change out is the basket that is holding cable ties (about 1,000 in different sizes). Many are poking thru the holes; or, I will come up with an option for inside the basket to hold the cable ties. I'm using the other baskets to hold small to medium size Styrofoam pieces; another one holds twines, crafting ropes; and another for holding wood products: crafting letters, small plaques. This basket is sturdy and fits the Kallax perfectly! I'm looking at putting this basket is other rooms for other purposes.
I will note one thing. Do not get discouraged, if the bottom piece will not fit; don't try to shove the piece to fit. The dimension of the bottom is 13" x 12-1/2" so it will only fit if you place it the correct way. Voilà...perfect!

What is water hyacinth?
Water hyacinth is a free-floating plant that spreads quickly in tropical waterways. When covering the surface completely, it blocks out sunlight which disrupts biodiversity. Also, local communities suffer as transportation routes are clogged. When harvested, biodiversity is restored and waterways are kept open. The plant itself becomes a resource too. The stalks make a flexible material that can be woven or braided into unique baskets, mats, and other home furnishings.
