Just about perfect. JennCreates a pretty golden glow that’s like a slightly dimmed bulb. Not to bright, not too low. Perfect for over a dining room table where you want that soft ambiance. The only downside is the light fixture I’m using is beautiful, but the light coming through can be hard on the eyes, like any bulb going through a hole-y fixture. Not the bulbs fault, just my choice in fixture. 5
Excellent lightingTheaI recently purchased these bulbs for my dining room and upstairs hallway. The bulb gives off great light. The crystal clear casing is a work of art. The bulbs are quite expensive; so honestly I would not expect lesser quality.5
Glass broke from baseRashidReally pretty, nice and warm, and relatively bright. That said, the globe glass separated from the base after 2 days. Fortunately the filaments caught it and it didn't smash into the table. I guess I'll return it next time i'm at IKEA, but kind of a bummer.2

Ambient light not overhead lightHaseenahI bought it for a ceiling pendant light in my bedroom. The bulb is visible in the light fixture so I wanted something pretty. This looks beautiful, but it’s too warm and not bright enough for an overhead light. Would be good for a table lamp.4
