Very nice designJoThe ash lamp is very nice. It has a handmade look and is modern and minimal without looking chinsy. But they phoned it in with the stark white shade. It would look much nicer with a more natural linen/canvas color. Same with the cord.

Broke immediatelyMikeWe put it together and plugged it in this morning. Everything was working fine so we left for the day and came back in the evening. Tried to use it the same day at night and it had already broken. Bulb works fine from another lamp in the same outlet so it’s for sure the lamp and its cheap wiring. We will be returning tomorrow but it’s unfortunate that lamp didn’t even last 12 hours.

An absolutely unique design in two sizesAnonymousI love this lamp só much that I have two floor lamps and one of the table size lamps. The style is a bit complicated to assemble, but, at 80 years old, I’ve assembled three, só not só difficult.
The lamp will liven up any room you put it in. I love the fact that you can adjust the length of the cord. My daughter loved mine so much that I ordered one for her.

Not as expected LindaSo this lamp seems to be an updated version of the original. I was soooo disappointed when I opened the box and saw how much it changed. The original had a beautiful full shade this is so small it barely covers, the light bulb can be seen and the switch. Also the only way you can change the light setting is by flicking the on and off switch to change between the two brightness levels. The original had a little tiny pole that when twirled you could reduce or increase the light which was great. This lamp totally fails in comparison to the original. Plus the instructions are horrible only pictures good luck with that. Well I’m stuck with it now that I put it together. Beware of this lamp totally not what is pictured!
Overall great but has some design flawsMarisaGreat function and aesthetic (love the wood) for the price. However:
1. The screw that must be tightened to secure the lamppost doesn't have a lot of clearance and due to the smooth shape, requires a lot of thumb pressure to tighten. Not great for people with arthritis. Would be better if they included a hex insert so it could be tightened with a tool. Just doesn't feel very secure.
2. The lamppost is not totally straight on mine relative to the base. Doesn't bother me when i'm not looking at it, but not ideal. Another downside of using a screw to secure the post.
3. In the directions there's a little wood screw you screw into the lamppost shaft below the fixture. I'm so confused by this. You're supposed to wrap the cord around it somehow? But it's so small! It totally doesn't work for that purpose.
Otherwise love it, especially the braided cord!
Love it but it flickers and doesn't turn on sometimes (loose wiring)LindaI have had my eye on this floor lamp for about a year before finally buying it. It's easy to set up and provides a nice smooth light in my living room as well as looking clean and stylish. Only thing is, it only works sometimes! With the adjustable height and at certain angles, the light doesn't turn on. Additionally, the light flickers when there is movement near the light (for example walking near the lamp) and when the lamp is touched or bumped. I still like this floor lamp, but I'll be returning this one in hopes that the next one will be better quality. Sadly, now I have to drive all the way back to Ikea to do a return and re-buy.

Cheap wiring causes lamp to flickerJustinMy lamp flickers due to the low-quality materials. I've tried 3 different bulbs (and brands). They all flicker due to faulty materials in the lamp. Now I have to drive 2.5 hours to return this.
