Sturdy Bit Slightly WarpedDonnaThis rack seems sturdy and came through the dishwasher well. However, it doesn’t sit flat on the counter when opened. Maybe it will be better once I put a cake or loaf of bread on it to cool.
100% Metal, No Non-Stick Forever Chemicals!LeThis is the only rack I could find that is 100% metal, without the toxic, non-stick, forever chemical coating! I am so happy with this product & I love that it folds flat to save space in the cabinet! Furthermore, it fits in the dishwasher & is not rusting! So grateful this stainless steel is not getting rust. We use the rack to cool homemade pizzas from the outdoor pizza oven. Best purchase ever, thank you, Ikea!
Good but not sturdy, won't lay flatDaylinIt works as a cooling rack but at least the one I got (perhaps others didn't have this) was really rickety and I can't seem to make it sit straight when the legs are extended. It's fine that it shakes but wish it was sturdier
Good Baking Rack; Also Useful for Storing TomatoesAlanI like the fact that this baking rack is stackable -- that's a clever design. I actually use my rack to store tomatoes, which taste a lot better if you store them at room temperature. The problem with keeping tomatoes on a flat surface such as on a plate, or, on the counter, is that air doesn't circulate where the tomato is in contact with the surface, and, rotting eventually sets in. By keeping your tomatoes on a baking rack, you allow air to circulate around the entire tomato, keeping them dry and preventing rotting. This rack works well with both cherry/grape tomatoes, and, full-sized tomatoes.
