Fairly easy to installJohnI really like these little shelves. I have several around the house. However, the only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that it is nearly impossible to install these small shelves so that they line up with the longer LACK shelves. I wish they used the same bracket system as the long shelves. Otherwise, if you're not concerned about using these small shelves as an extension of the longer ones, they do just fine. And for those who wish IKEA included the wall screws, there is no way IKEA can accommodate every kind of wall. Do a little bit of due diligence on your part to figure out what kind of screws you need for your wall material (brick? drywall? plaster? wood?) and it'll be a piece of cake to put up these LACK shelves.

Perfect shelf for displayDavidBeing a designer for retail, film & TV I have used these small Lack shelves for years on numerous projects. They are quick to install and perfect size for frame, product or numerous other pieces.You can create wonderful designs putting them in many different looks.

I J have to use anchors because there’s no stud behind it. I ended up with 2 holes in my wall and a shelf that hangs limply. It must ask for my money back
NopeCheyenneIt’s part of the lack shelf system but mounts completely different from the longer shelves - making it near impossible to line up with them.
I’m sure they’re okay on their own (wobbly though), but don’t bother getting these if you expect them to line up with the longer versions. They won’t as they use their own weight to sit VS an inserted mount.

The shelf itself looks nice, but the mounting system is a disaster.
My shelf fell off the wall when my cat jumped on it because regular drywall anchors don’t work properly with this design.

STANDARD IN US HOMESTarynThe standard for length between studs in the US are placed 16 inches apart on all walls. It can vary in older homes, but rarely would you find studs more than 24 inches apart. Windows and doors are also framed by studs for support. Above wide windows and doors, you might even find a wide header board. This clearly doesn’t each the standard. Being told to use dry wall screws to use a basic shelf by ikea is clearly something I don’t want to do. I want the shelf the be the length of US homes. Not to be told I can make additional purchases for things in prefer to hang up this shelf. I’m going to return it and take my business elsewhere. Stop telling me there’s additional things I can purchase to make this POS shelf worth my time.
Waste of moneyTarynThese shelves do not reach the studs in the wall that are standard in all homes. They are too short. This was the biggest waste of money….
Much bigger than anticipated StarI measured the area i was going to use this in, i thought they would be perfect, but they are just too big. And the anchor to adhere them to the wall seem a bit weak. So I bought some brackets for the shelf to sit on, and I'll use them in a bigger space, can't wait to see how it comes together l.
Garbage AustinThis shelf fails to hold firm to the wall. It has scratched and ruined the paint on the wall when trying to get it in place. Nothing about this product is of value.
Invisible shelves awesome lookTollieThese invisible shelving system is perfect. Each shelf is a good size to you’re able to put various items on them. They do need to be mounted to the wall however they create an awesome look.
Surprisingly easy to installAnonymous reviewerAll it took to hang this was a couple of sheetrock anchors, a measuring tape, a level, and a drill. It took all of about 5 minutes, and it's sturdy as well as attractive.
Lack shelf is named appropriatelyThomasDo not buy this item!!! I found this item to be impossible to hang properly. No data supplied as to how much space is needed for the mounting screw to make contact with recessed mounting bracket. This results in a drooping shelf, pulled out wall anchors and your wall looking like Swiss cheese. Worst product ever from Ikea!
