As expectedLezlieThe only thing that can be improved is a flat plug instead of one that sticks out so far.
14 AWG!ScottThese might be the best inexpensive extension cords available in the USA. Per the cord, these are 14 AWG and good for 300V -- that's a wire with a more than 50% bigger cross-sectional area than the normal cheap cords.
That means you can actually use it for something that's not just a tiny power draw without it being the usual American fire hazard.
I agree it'd be better with a right-angle plug so it would work behind shelves, but for this price I really can't complain.
