Good to know, terrible qualityKarinaThe laminate started bubbling and peeled off at the bottom of the doors within the first year. Even for an inexpensive kitchen that is unacceptable. No response from IKEA when I tried to get replacement doors. Have to complete redo my kitchen within 4 years because it looks horrible. I bet I am not the only one with this experience. So sad. I was so proud to have built my own kitchen.1

Nice cabinet. Very poor instructions.VirajOver all its a nice cabinet but instructions are terrible. Doesn't show which is frony front, back, top, up in the book. It cannot be mounted on wall unless you are a handyman/hiring one for installation specially in USA which is again not mentioned in the booklet. I am very disappointed with IKEA for this. Waste of time and money after getting from IKEA and then to figure out how to mount it.1

Nice addition to my laundryTeNice addition to my laundry closet. However, I noticed right out of the box and prior to assembly, there were small chips of laminate that had broken off from some of the corners of the cabinet. I decided to paint them rather than return it because of the hassle and wait of getting it delivered in the first place. It also can be a bit trying to install when the holes don’t align with your studs, as this cabinet does not use the hanging track like some of their others do and the back is a bit flimsy.3

Easy installLilianaThe only thing I would change is the back paneling it’s made of like a cardboard material I would change it to be solid wood. Also you have to be careful since the top layer of pain chips easily.4

I wish these had an option to look more like shaker front cabinets- but those are only available in gray. They were easy to put together and install. I would definitely use them again, and have already recommended them to a friend.4

Material

What is particleboard?

Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
