non-stick coating gone after light usesXuanIt looks (still) very appealing and worked very well for less than 10 cookings. But the non-stick coating no longer works now, despite the interior still looking intact, unlike other non-stick coatings that may display peeling off as an indicator. It is no longer non-stick, on the contrary, it's now a stick-guaranteed if you cook anything, with or without oil, no matter the temperature of the oil :(2

What is sol-gel ceramic non-stick coating?

Sol-gel non-stick is often called ceramic coating and is an increasingly common replacement for other non-stick coatings in frying pans. It comprises mostly of silica and is created by applying a gel-like solution to the product and drying it in an oven. The result is a hard, glossy surface with non-stick properties. Sol-gel can be produced in different colors, it withstands high heat, is easy to use and clean – and allows cooking with little or no fat.
