Enjoy the super comfy KIVIK sofa with deep seat cushions made of pocket springs, high resilience foam and polyester fibers – adding both firm support and relaxing softness.

Contact surfaces are covered with Grann – a soft, smooth and strong grain leather with natural variations. Other surfaces have Bomstad, a coated fabric.

The size and depth of the sofa make it perfect for a nice nap or when the whole family is gathered. There is room for everyone and even extra seating on the wide armrests.

The wide armrests have room for everything from your mobile phone to a bowl of movie snacks and very comfortable to lay your head on when you lie down on the sofa for a rest.

KIVIK sofa has a strong personality and a clear design language, while the options mean that you can easily match it with your home decor.

It is easy to combine the sofa with one or more chaise lounges thanks to the removable armrests.

Not a nap couchHeatherWe absolutely love how this sofa looks. It’s very easy to keep clean and the quality seems high enough that I have no doubt it will continue looking amazing for years. That being said, we’re sad to be looking for a new sofa. If you have this for occasional company to sit on but have separate family room furniture for watching a movie or relaxing at the end of the day, you won’t regret this purchase. It’s gorgeous! We purchased it as our every day place to chill at the end of the day & that’s pretty tough when both the seat and the back feel like slightly flexible concrete. Once again though, it’s a really beautiful piece of furniture & we are considering keeping it as sleek addition to our small guest room for short, occasional guest use.3

Bad chemical smellKiIt has been months since I’ve received the sofa, and it still smells like chemicals. It is stinking up my entire living room and I don’t even want to sit on it. I used to like ikea sofas, but I think they started to use cheap materials which has this toxic chemical smell. 1
SHOCKED At Positive ReviewsDavidHaving shopped this Sofa and LS for years at multiple Ikeas, finally made the plunge, leather. What they delivered, while I have no doubt it will outlast me is like sitting on plywood! Medium Firm is ridiculous…try REALLY FIRM! Fortunately IKEA allows it to be returned, and will be initiating that this weekend after only a month. I think the firmness makes up for poor design in the back, and if you desire a quality seat with some level of confort this is NOT your sofa…now you know. Looks pretty cool though!2

I was just starting theJaneI was just starting the process of looking for a leather couch. I saw this one in your sale area, but needed to learn more to compare. Spent the following day at stores carrying leather couches and then came back to IKEA, bought this one and had it held for a day while a truck was rented and friends found for pick up. It looks great in my house, is comfortable, and receives compliments.5
Good but get pillowsGrahamSo this couch's back is super firm, it's not "medium firm". Other people who have had this couch compared it to the Flinstones couch, which I had a good laugh about. (With all that said the seat feels perfect.) So if you're buying this couch and you sit with good posture or looking to improve your posture, this couch is a great buy. However if you're like me and like to slouch, kick back, and watch TV or play games for a hour or two straight. it's not so great on it's own. Which is why I'd highly recommend buying a set of plump 20-22 inch throw pillow to fill the triangular gap made up from the space inbetween your back, backrest, and seat. Other notes: Looks good, and easy to assemble. The leather makes it easy to clean for spills which is good because my girlfriend is clumsy. I also bought two Kivik leather ottomans.4

I’ve been wanting to purchase another sofa in same color but I haven’t seen the dark brown color ones for years now. All I see is plain black ones. Was dark brown color discontinued or just not available to American consumers? Please bring back the color!5

I purcahsed the KIVIK dark brown sofa and love seat from IKEA in 2021 and they are still beautiful to this day. The top quality leather remains soft and durable. For the price, these leather sofa's are well worth it. Would highly recommend.
