Not waterproofMariah SoniaLast night my husband dropped half a bottle of water on the bed he said oh no now I have to take the mattress topper off. I said well thank God we had the mattress protector. And then he goes to show me how it completely soaked through the mattress protector onto our mattress. I can’t find the receipt for when I bought these not that long ago and now I am going to have to pay to buy actual mattress protectors from somewhere else. Would not recommend. 2

Cool beansSonyaAt a quarter of the price of comparable covers, this cover does help you keep your cool. It’s not the same as a plug in cooling system, but it does help initially. At least when you lie down, it does feel cooler than a regular pad. Now I need ikea to sell a cooling pillow or pillowcase.5
So far so goodOddnyI’ve only had this mattress protector a few weeks. I’ve only used the warm side of it. It seems to say in place on the mattress and is comfortable to sleep on. The true test for me will come when the weather gets hot and I use the cooing side. I live in a climate that is hotter and humid much longer than it’s cold( short winters). So far so good!5

Even though my 18# cat sleeps on top of me. So I would say this works well. It doesn’t’ really feel cool to the touch once you climb in bed, but it works. I don’t worry about the keep warm part in the winter because I have the cat. And I can always keep it on the cold side. 5
