Spare faucetJessicaWorks great, we use it for a countertop dishwasher 5
Garden hose adapter didn't workHrothgarThe "quick connect" garden hose adapter would not stay in place, and leaked even when held in place. I ended up getting a brass 3/4" GHT to 1/2 NPT swivel adapter, and (with the help of a lot of teflon thread tape) was able to get a leak-free connection. It may be that the 1/2 NPT threading that feeds the faucet is imprecisely machined -- I had to try three different adapters before finding one that worked. The faucet itself is otherwise functional and adequate.3

Material

What is brass?

Brass is a mixture of copper and zinc and the amounts vary depending on the desired properties. Copper is usually the main material and the more zinc you add results in the brass being harder and stronger, but also results in it being more difficult to shape and less resistant to rust. Brass can be recycled as brass but never into its original metals. At IKEA we use brass for things like knobs, handles, frames and taps.
