Nice TV unit LynnI was looking for a new TV stand for a long wall. I purchased this unit because it offered extra storage space. I also purchased the bottle insert to put in one of the side openings. I really like the way this looks in my living room.
Sewing TableBarbI used two of these units on a 4’ x 8’ board and used a wooden countertop for the top to make a sewing cutting table/storage and it turned out great.
Perfect Size, difficult to assembleLoriThe shelf was a perfect fit for one of our bedrooms. However, assembly it took four hours and one of the cardboard inserts in addition to drilling the door knobs, almost ruined the entire thing. The directions were not clear and in order to make holes in the doors for you to put the knob the plywood almost split.
In the future, when you need to design a square that requires a door, perhaps think of a better design than cardboard slats and pre-drill holes.
MisleadingDecemeilFor the price of this product cardboard inserts do not work for me. To have solid drawers and units with doors you have to screw the cardboard into the unit without pre drilled holes. I have never been so disappointed in IKEA until today. I do not recommend this product or store.
Great LooksLindaI love Kallax, it looks great, has a lot of space for all kind of stuff. You can have doors, drawers and colorful inserts. It’s worth the money.
