We used the inserts with the sort of dividers in them for the top two squares and doors on the bottom too with the record player on top. It’s one of the first things people see when coming into our warm modern style white walls and black accents. The plain white Kallax looks great with the style of house. This one is great for a smaller space, but because it’s deep, it holds so much you can get the shelf insert or the cubes that fit exactly in the square, which allows you to make use of the entire square of space Love that it comes in the darker color. How I love these, let me count the ways!JudiI have used these in bathrooms for additional storage. I have used these in the pantry for additional storage and organization. I have used these to make a closet in a loft by putting them on top of each other. I have doubled them up and been able to reach through the first one to get to the second one, which gives me a nice surface to put items on. I have used three of these together to make a TV/entertainment unit. I have used these at the foot of my bed, and put my shoes on sitting on it. They are the most versatile piece of furniture. I believe I currently own 14 of them!5
No drill holes!!!ShellyThere were only two holes completely drilled and the others were off - it was impossible to put together by myself - I needed another person to vice grip the pieces together so we could wedge the screws in place. I have never had this problem before. Very disappointing.2
