Not up to expected qualityAshleyWhen people make fun of ikea as a "cheap" brand, they're usually wrong. In this case, these inserts are awful--pain to put together, easy to tear the cardboard, doors sag and rip. Compared to my other pieces of ikea furniture, these just aren't good enough.
So cool! But hard to insertJenniferLoved these new options for Kallax cubes. I did however find this very difficult to screw into the unit. I feel that Ikea should have had us drill pilot holes before screwing the door inner hardware.
White Insert for Black Kallax and DoorHalieOverall, I really like this product. They were easy to install into the Kallax storage unit and work nicely. My only complaint is that the insert does not match the door color. I have a black Kallax and purchased black doors assuming the insert would also be black, however they were white. You can 100% see the white through the space between the door and shelf. I didn't realize in-store that the insert didn't match because they were displayed on a white Kallax. Other Kallax doors match with insert colors, so I was hoping these would be the same. I like the doors, so I will deal with the white, just wish there was another option to match the actual storage unit.
Nice looking kallax doorAnitaTook some adjusting, but finally got the door to fit right. Definitely like the way it looks, but wish they would expand the color choices.

I love these kallax improvements JaneThese kallax inserts amongst others make the kallax a much better piece of furniture. The empty spaces without inserts are sometimes unattractive, only certain items work in the kallax without supplementary pieces. We have three kallax fixtures, only six squares aren’t filled with inserts, those have binders and other items that fill the space. Unlike other inserts thes didn’t come with the rubber adhesive stickers to protect the corners of the doors, I don’t know if it was an oversight, but I’d suggest that they start including them upon shipping.

Love these doors for my Kallax.LouThese doors are great. They really dress up my Kallax unit. I have received quite a few compliments about them. The only negative is the new price. They went from $12.99 (?) To $25.00. That's a huge increase.

I got my Kallax shelf unit about a year ago and just got this insert today as well as the other little cat house one and neither of them fit in the square of my shelf.
Look ok / Quality lackingTammyI bought 4 of these to install in a bright green Kallax. The first three installed fairly easy. The fourth one gave me a lot of difficulty; one of the hinge side screws somehow broke a large hole in the side of the Kallax resulting in it being useless.
Overall I am happy with the look of this product. However, I wish that it was offered in right/left options. My unit is in a very tight corner and I’d prefer the doors to open out from the center rather than up against the wall. I also wish that the interior of the insert was black to match the door rather than bright white. If you’re using it in a white Kallax it would work. But in any other color Kallax, the white really stands out. If it were black like the door itself it would just look like part of the door.

You have to drill into the shelf...AngelikaBased on the pictures I assumed it would slide into the shelf and you NOT have to destroy your Kallax. Moreover, I have the older version of the shelf with thicker side boards, which I much prefer, so I especially don't want to drill into it.
