Kallax BaseBarriI love the Kallax base! It elevates the look of the Kallax unit and makes it higher as well. It really makes a basic piece of furniture look more expensive
Don't get it if you have an older unit. ToriI have an older Kallax unit, so it would have been great if there was a disclaimer that this does not work with the older ones. The screw mounts are not even close to lining up. Now I have to drive an hour to return this.

garbageCharlesThere's no stability at all unless you were to mount the shelving unit on the wall while using this product. The legs and compatible shelving units would be better served if there was a bracket to connect the two at the legs rather than the wheel that are screwed on the bottom of the shelf legs.
Amazing!!FeliciaI LOVE this because it keeps the cbed shelf off the floor and I can easily clean under it without having to move it. However, it does move pretty easily with the cubed shelf on it. It took 10 minutes to put together.

Missing pieces/short BrookeI felt like I was going crazy until I saw another review for this product. I spent hours trying to figure out missing pieces, only to discover that like others this doesn't fit under my frame and the screws won't allignto the bottom of the shelf. I too thought this would be a simple fix and no longer have the box. It's quite a trek for me to go to the IKEA store nearest to me, so this is really frustrating.
Didn't fitDanielleThis did not fit under our unit at all. The screws did not align and it wasn't even as long as our unit. Really bombed because I threw away the packaging and put this together.And now I'm left with it with nothing to do with it can't use it. And have out the money that I spent on it. Really mad about that

Does not fit my kallax - unsure about stability EmmaThe product was easy to put together. However, it did not fit my 4x4 kallax, despite being shown on the website with a 4x4 kallax AND noting in the description it fits units up to 58". As others have noted, once you assemble the base, there's no way to secure the unit to the base. Your kallax essentially just sits on top of it. Even if you anchor the kallax to the wall, that doesn't seem very stable and I'm not sure I would trust it anyway.
Does not securely attach to KallaxRyanPurchased this to attach to the KALLAX tv unit. I did not realize the under frame does not attach securely to the KALLAX unit. Even if using wall anchors this could be an issue if the frame somehow gets knocked loose and could pose a danger to younger individuals. Or the lack of stability could cause damage to items falling out of the shelf, or even a TV on a stand that is not wall mounted. Debating returning both for a BESTA because I don't want to risk my electronics being damaged.
Ok for a base but would prefer better style MichelleOk for a base but style that matches the kallax cubes would be preferred-- or a mid century modern style. Just personal preference.

UnstableAnaAlthough the looks is what I was going for. The stability was sub par. There was nothing that fastened the shelves to the frame. Do not purchase if you are looking to use this with shelves in a multiuser room like a living room or tv room. Too much risk in tipping over or shifting from the bottom frame.
Needs center support! center shelves sag!!TerraI love the idea and the look but 6 months later and my shelves are sagging down the middle. These leg add-ons need center support!! If you are adding heavier objects to your shelving (I am a paper crafter) I do NOT recommend these. Now I have to unload both my 16 cube units to add support that should have been part of the design.
