Great PieceTinaI ave purchased this frame for the 4 unit shelf and the 8 unit shelf . Ok Ikea lets make it for the 2 unit shelf unit. This will complete the upgrade for the Kallax series and add so much more class and variety to unit . I will be waiting.
I'd give it a 0 if I could.CatherineNot sure how this base got such good reviews. I bought a 4x4 Kallax and the matching base. The base is horrible. Yeah, it looks nice, but the base doesn't even secure to the Kallax at all. IKEA gives you 4 round plastic pieces to put on the bottom of the Kallax and then are supposed to just plop the Kallax on top of the base...placing the round pieces into the square hold in the base. Sadly those round pieces are too small and the Kallax just slides around on top of the base. It's not stable and I'll have to return. I usually like the quality of IKEA but I'm really disappointed at this product.
Recommended SharebaDefinitely a must half for kallax cube. Elevates the height of the unit as well as the style of the unit. Happy I opted for the stand.
Holes for screws not drilled correctlyPaulI used to love IKEA products but the quality has hit rock bottom recently. I am returning mine because the holes for the four tiny screws which are supposed to hold this base together are not drilled correctly and you cannot get them in. If you buy this in the store it would be worthwhile to open the box and try these screws before you take it home.
The Screws do not fit the steel frame as intendedSandraWe bought the bookcases for children’s books and to use one of them for a TV stand. When putting the frames together we discovered that the holes to put the screws in were not big enough and didn’t fit the frame well. Once again, we had to enlarge the holes with a drill as we did with the shelving units. It took us longer than usual to put these together and we are hoping they are safe and keep our books and other items from falling off the shelves or tipping over. I will buy local from now on.

Standing up for the job KarenI use it to keep my deck boxes off the ground/floor. My car port floods sometimes and this keeps them dry

FabulousYvonneI made a wall to wall bookcase in my old home. Then there was no extra frame with legs. This is a relief since it makes it easy to clean below the bookcase. Love it!
