A good Matter/Thread bulb, but....DavidI was very excited to see Ikea release such a cost effective Matter over Thread bulb, especially one with 1600lm (~100w equivelent). I was able to pair them to Home Assistant quite easily, and they each immediate notified me that there was an update for them available. The pros of these lights aside from the cost, is that they are bright, and the colors look very accurate and bright. The biggest cons is that, where for the most part, they are very stable, every couple of weeks, they can "drop of the thread network", and need to be power cycled which so far, has always managed to reconnect them. I'm not sure if this is an instability in the hub I use, or in the bulb. Thread being new, it could be in either, or even both. They do tend to work for weeks, but, after buying 6 of these, I think there may have only been one that has yet to drop at some point. For the most part, they are good, and I'm hoping they get better over time as more companies adopt Matter over Thread.4
Another Quality Matter Over Thread ProductAllenI'm using Home Assistant with a ZBT-2 Border Router. I have purchased 15 of these new products and all have been commissioned and placed into service without any problems at all. Only one has gone off line (MYGGBETT door/window sensor) and it was at the periphery of my thread network. I have since added a thread router to strengthen the network in that area and have had no further issues. I don't know why so many others are having issues but I recommend all of these new devices from Ikea. So far I have used: MYGGBETT, BILRESA, KLIPPBOK, TIMMERFLOTTE, ALPSTUGA, GRILLPLATS & KAJPLATS.5
