Do not work with google home unless you buy expensive ikea DIRIGERA hubAmandaBought a bunch of these lightbulbs in store where they advertise integration with google home. There was no mention that you HAVE to have one of their DIRIGERA hubs to make it work. I have had many smart bulbs over the years and this is the only one that has ever required proprietary hardware. I would NEVER buy these again, and am returning all of the ones I have. The additional hardware requirement is unnecessary and the ease of product set up is deceptive.
Was committed to Ikea smart bulbs until nowAmandaI waited for the new release of these smart bulbs after Tradferi was no longer available. I purchased several in this new line and can’t stand them. They look like cheap, bright LEDs as opposed to the warm, golden undertone of the Tradferi. I dislike it so much I am considering transitioning my whole smart lighting system to something else. If updating firmware can give us better color options, please do it. Also, the double click on the remote to change colors does not work well. There is a delay, you click again, another delay and then suddenly the color advances 2 times. It’s not intuitive and it’s not even functional.
Can't get them to workChanelIt's not connecting to the remote and there's no direct support for making it work. It might be worth it if you have the hub, but I'm disappointed that I haven't been able to use them as advertised.
Not As Good As The Previous Bulb Version (TRADFI)ShelbyIKEA’s new line of color light bulbs is not as good as the previous TRÅDFRI bulbs they phased out. While they added a few primary colors, they removed many of the natural, orange, and warmer light options that were easily accessible with the old remote.
My belief is that this was done to push customers toward IKEA’s proprietary lighting hub (DIRIGERA $110), where you can use a color-gradient slider to access more options. You shouldn’t need additional hardware just to regain lighting choices that were previously built into the remote. Based on other comments here, many people seem to agree that these bulbs are a disappointing replacement for the old TRÅDFRI line.
A waste for my needDebbieI'm sure it works, but it was a waste without the remote and hub which are required to make the light change. That's roughly $150 for a $29 lamp.

Almost thereBrianI want to give this bulb a better review, but currently the firmware is not quite there. The color is great and the price cannot be beat, but there is apparently a firmware bug that causes shades of red (other than pure red) to suddenly turn green when between 60%-99% brightness. This affects all ten of my bulbs when controlling them via matter in my Home Assistant. If a firmware update fixes this issue, i will gladly change this rating.

For twelve bucks, not bad and the colors are fine enough, they fade frome one to another so they're clearly capable of it. The issue is that anything between orange and hot pink, from 60% to 99% brightness is lime green. It's clearly a software/firmware issue. The app works really well but the diriga smart hub is useless if the light bulbs won't do what it says. All of my bulbs do this, it's not a defect. Going by other reports, they ALL do this. Is there a way to update the firmware on these things?
I'm not disappointed by the product, but how much the hardware is wasted by untested software that can't properly control it.
These vs TradfreiAndrewI wanted to compare the new bulbs with the outgoing model (tradfrei) and I had high hopes that the red would be more saturated with these. It is not, it’s still red/orange and it seems these bulbs have a lag when responding to a remote. They take a second or two to turn off/on and dim and it makes me think they aren’t responding. The older bulbs were more expensive, but it seems there aren’t too many improvements. Maybe they will give it a software update!
FantasticAydenI bought these to replace my Hue lights that probably cost at least 4x as much, and I see virtually no difference. They are nice and bright, the color rendering is great for the price, and the flexibility of Matter is great.

Good bulb at a fantistic price, but not perfect...DavidI'm so excited to see AFFORDABLE Matter over Thread devices. It's such a big step to getting rid of the confusion for smart homes.
The Kajplats 1100lm (~75w) is a bright, colorful bulb that I was able to connect to my Home Assistant hub easily. Software update of the bulb went smoothly as well.
The only con for me is that every few weeks, a random bulb in my set of 6 will drop off the Thread network. The fix is pretty easy, just cut the power to the bulb and it has always connected back up to the network. I don't know if this is an issue with my hub, or with the bulb, or with both. But, it's not bad enough to have me remove them. I'm hoping that things will become more stable over time with firmware updates for both the hub and the bulb.
If you're not afraid of a little (very little) troubleshooting/remediation, give these bulbs a try!
Excellent BulbsJosephThe bulbs were fast and easy to link to the IKEA Home app and also with Google Home. No issues !
Colors limited and a bit unpredictable.RayI bought two of these bulbs and a Bilresa scroll remote and linked them all to my existing Dirigera hub (which has been running for a couple of years).
The colors are limited. The bulbs support 40 fixed colors and that's it. Sure there is what looks like a smooth color gradient picker wheel in the Homesmart app, but it's blocky and jumps around.
Using the Bilresa to step through the colors (double-click forward and triple click backward) is mostly ok (if a bit slow) until one or both bulbs just stop responding or go dark. You need to wait a minute of so for the bulbs to recover or just unplug/replug them to continue.
Like another review mentioned, they turn bright green if you have them on a dim orange color and then scroll the Bilresa wheel (or app) to brighten them. It's not gradual: Orange cuts over to bright green at 60% brightness, then cuts back to orange at exactly 100%. Both bulbs do it in sync. Very odd. It seems almost intentional (but why, I have no idea???)

Just buy a better lightbulbSophieThe remote doesn’t work at all. The lightbulb connects to apple home for about 3 minutes then disconnects and refuses to reconnect. My light is now stuck on pink.
