Design Flaw?!?!MonicaI love that the unit is wood. I love that the wood is light so the color is easily customizable. However, I absolutely hate that the cabinet doors don't touch by design.

Why would you design a cabinet where the doors don't connect all the way?!! Doesn't make sense Ikea! If you fix this, I will purchase MANY of these because they're a great simple design. WHY?!?!
Nice and sturdyElizabethThis cabinet is very nice and sturdy. Very easy instructions to put together.
I was so happy with product until I got finished with building and the 2 doors in front don't connect. Their is about an inch separation between 2 doors. Very disappointed. Unable to return as I already stained the cabinet.
Smells like glue and mildew - looks fineAnnaAll the parts arrived, took less than an hour to assemble, and looks fine -- but this thing really smells bad. My guess is it's mildew and glue/VOC off-gassing. There's a bunch of mildew on one of the doors. Disappointed. But I suppose to be expected if these things are shipped across the ocean on a container ship.

This is real wood which is what I was looking for since I know it'll be used a lot and it took the stain i applied well. Extremely high quality and functionality. Love it.

They are an excellent, affordable option in a solid pine (not processed wood board) except for the back-board which is the typical thin pressed board.

wrong sizePeterThe description says the cabinet is 11 and 3/4 inch deep. If it was, my bowl would fit inside. Once I got it partially assembled I realized my bowl didn't fit so I measured the depth and it was only 11 inches. Since it didn't meet my needs I had to return the two cabinets I had purchased. So disappointed.
Flimsy; wood split when attaching two togetherBrianVery disappointed with this "solid wood" option. The unit sways; when attaching two units together with the provided screws according to the instructions, the wood split. Luckily in the back, so not too noticeable (although it was noticed!).

Perfect and well madeHelenThis is a perfect little storage piece in my upstairs hallway. I have it on the base to lift it off the floor. So pretty and stylish. Easy to put together. Holds a lot! I love it and am going to buy other Ivar pieces for other rooms.
good value, not perfect AdamI don't use these raw, but stain and seal them. Whatever glue was used to patch over a flaw in the wood didn't take a stain the same way that the wood did, so there is an off color bit. Oh well, it's near the bottom.
IVAR cupboardMargaretThis cupboard was easy to assemble, is a hood size, and made of solid wood. We put IKEA wooden feet on it to raise it a bit. The door hinges are adjustable so the doors will close properly after some adjustments.
