Like it but flawedJenniThe left side holes weren’t aligned so it took 2 of us to hold the pieces together while we got 3 of the holes together and had to use a screwdriver to force the 4th dowel into the hole. Luckily it didn’t break and went in instead. Then after we jimmied the very tight cover on, we discovered that the Velcro strip sewn on the underneath of the front of the bench was sewn wrong so the fabric won’t Velcro to the entire front of the bench. The fabric is just hanging down. So disappointing.
Manufacturing flawNicola3rd replacement, same problem. Lid won't attach. Has been a nightmare dealing with IKEA to get a replacement, and still waiting to get it sorted out over a month later.

Looks classy, lots of storageDanielleI purchased the INNDYR Storage Bench in beige. Extremely heavy box so I am glad I had it delivered. I assembled it by myself in about 30 minutes. To put the piston hinges on, I laid the lid flat on the floor upside down, then rested the storage box on its side raised up on some throw pillows so it was the correct height to line up the screws. Took a little time to get the cloth cover on exactly right. In the end, it looks great, like a high end product. Lid is VERY sturdy with excellent padding, no problem sitting on it to put on socks and shoes, etc. Lid stays open when opened all the way. Lots of room inside for linens or plastic toys. I would not use it for very heavy items as the bottom will sag under a lot of weight. I purchased protective clothing zip bags and filled them with sheets and blankets. Now it easy to get to extra bed sets when guests stay over. The bench at the foot of the bed is handy. Thanks, IKEA!
stylish living area storageSimonWe used this in our living room as a bit more storage. It looks great and really is quite roomy for storage
The one difficult in assembly is you REALLY need two people to be able to put the piston/hinges on. You could PROBBALY do it with 1 person, but not as described in instructions. You would probably need to lay it down and have the lid against your body to stablize while attaching pistons

Material
What is polyester?
Polyester is a durable, quick-drying and insulating material that is optimal to use for textiles and as filling in pillows, quilts and furniture. The material is made from crude oil – a limited resource. Since IKEA doesn’t want to contribute to more virgin oil being used, we are now gradually switching to recycled and traceable polyester from sources like PET bottles. What’s nice is that polyester can be recycled over and over, without changing or losing its great qualities.
