Holding Up After 7 YearsElizabethWe bought this table as a quick fix when moving into a smaller house thinking we'd replace it after settling in. After 7 years of daily use and rarely any tablecloth, it still looks like new. This is very durable and the extension helps the few times a year when we need a few extra seats. I only wish they made this in a natural wood as I'd prefer a more natural look to it. The matching chairs also have really held up. Can't recommend higher especially at this price point. It looks like they are discontinuing it although why, I could not explain.
Awesome Table, Awesome Quality, Great DesignHeatherWe've had this table as our "everyday" eating table for at least 6 years. It has held up amazingly well, especially considering we're a family of 7 people who often have guests over of varying ages. We have even squeezed 10 people at this table because it can accommodate 4 chairs on a side if they aren't too large.
It's a bit on the narrow side - which works for us because our space is pretty narrow - but not too much. The people on the end can still dine comfortably and there's room for the serving dishes in the center.
The table wipes clean easily, the leaf stores inside the table which is my favorite!
Without the leaf, I would say it seats 4 comfortably, 6 would probably feel a bit crowded. But with the leaf it fits a lot.

Horrible topTaylorI bought this off of marketplace about a month ago and it was in good condition. I have small children so I have to wipe my table after every meal. With my damp washcloth, the top is peeling at the EVERY end from I guess “water damage” from my cloth. I am mind blown and have never experienced anything like this just from light wiping. I have the ekedalen before this and never had an issue. I can’t even imagine what the table is going to look like in another month or so if it keeps wearing down at the rate it’s going. Super super disappointed
Beautiful and sturdyEmilyI love this table. I was between this one another white table from Ikea that was much cheaper, but this one just looked so much nicer in the store. Putting it together was a breeze — just attach the legs and a couple of brackets for the leaf and it’s done! I will say that the end of the table that expands squeaks with just the lightest pressure on the tabletop, but I’m sure some grease would fix it. I paired the table with four Ingolf chairs and a vase with some bright spring flowers, and it makes me smile every time I see it. Looking forward to having this table grow with my family.

Ingatorp TableLisaWe've had the table a little over 3 months. I am thinking of returning because the top needs to be of sturdier material. I would love this with a top made of wood. There is already a small indentation on the top with very light use on our part. We have only eaten meals at the table and tried to be very careful with the surface. I have read that if the surface gets broken it will not do well with any type of water. I shouldn't be stressed about using my kitchen table. We wanted an extendable table and this is nice for that but, the surface has to be more durable. Otherwise, it's exactly what I want. IKEA could you make this version with a wood top???
Versatile dining tableSarahClassic lines and seating for 6 normally. For larger gatherings the table can be extended to seat at least two more. Very pleased with purchase.

Nice flexible tableLinda SWe purchased this table because it's extendable. I like that it doesn't have a seam unless extended to it's full length of 84 inches. I didn't give it 5 stars for two reasons: 1) A little challenging to put together unless you have small hands; 2) The corners are sharp. Would have preferred slight rounding for a nicer look.
Ingatorp Table - Amazing!TeresaDelivery was good - table arrived in good condition. No problems putting it together. The slide out, however, was a bit tight at first - in fact, almost impossible to slide, but seems to be okay now. The finish looks good - not using any cleaner on it, just a microfiber cloth. Nice size - 4 chairs - comfortable seating with ample leg room.

What is particleboard?
Particleboard is made from recycled wood and sawmill leftovers – so wood pieces with the wrong shade, woodchips and sawdust become a resource instead of possibly being discarded. We use boards for things like bookcases, bed frames, sofas and kitchen frames. To protect from wear and moisture, we apply varnish, veneer or foil that adds to the furniture's look.
