Sturdy, very secure sandwich-size storageAnne B.After four years of getting by with just two of these sandwich containers, I just purchased a three-pack for additional storage. I bake a lot of bread and other sandwich-size containers just don't fit thick slices, plus these are wonderful for storing frozen strawberries and mango chunks for smoothies. The absolute best thing about these are the wide gaskets that makes these containers spill-proof--the gaskets are easy to pop out and wash, air-dry, and replace, so if something icky starts to grow between the gasket and the lid, you have only yourself to blame. The snap-on lids can be a bit stiff when the containers are new; pushing down on top of the gasket on the side you're trying to close is the trick. If you do that a few times when you first get them, it becomes much easier.5

Material

What is glass?

Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
