Sure it’s just a table/desk right?!LarryNeed to present and your presentation style works best from standing? You need this table
Have that favorite chair but its too high or too short? You need this table
Back pain sufferer and need to stand but also need to keep working? You need this table
You want do some squats, arm curls, jump rope and watch a training video? You need this table
Need to shoot a monologue or sketch with a green screen? You need this table
Want to control the height with bluetooth connectivity from your phone or tablet? You need this table
These all things I’ve done since buying this table.
Relatively easy to setup (but you need to have another person help put the table top on).
The table top is deep so space for my 16‘’ laptop with stand, 26” monitor, and 32” tv (turned at an angle), tabletop speakers, microphone, keyboard and mouse.
Table top is durable and solid but be thoughtful about the total load/weight you put on it if you max out the load capacity be sure to distribute the weight.
Yes it’s just a table but it’s easily the best work table I’ve every had in my 20+ years of work. Worth every penny.5
Great functionality at a low priceAARONMost adjustable standing desks cost twice as much. So definite advantage in terms of price. The electric lift system is not the quietest, but it works consistently. As with many IKEA products, the wood for the desktop is a bit soft and prone to getting scratches and dings. I purchased a desk pad, so not a huge deal. For the price advantage it’s totally acceptable to me.4
FantasticJoePlenty of room and very sturdy, this desk was easy to build and the adjustable height is a great way to stretch out. The optional phone app is just another way to control the desk. The cord management system works well, I zip tied a power surge protector to the frame to hide even more cords.5
Nice desk, very easy toKARENNice desk, very easy to transition between sitting and standing5
Good height adjustable deskitkwonIt is good to use. Its weight is little bit heavy, but it makes this furniture stable.4
TM1983I decided to get in the market for a standing desk due to the pandemic. I am glad I spent a little more for the desk from IKEA. It was my first serious purchase from the store and a great experience. Very easy to install and I was able to do it by myself. Using the desk at a normal sit-down height is also a good experience. No complaints. I would definitely buy again. Very solid and sturdy piece of furniture. No wobble even if you lean a little on it.5
Great Buy As A Work At Home SolutionSombreroWhaleI had recently bought this after doing some research on various sit/stand desks. Based on I looked for in a desk included the reviews and warranty offered, and this seemed like a good pick. After trying it at the store, I was set. Some noteworthy things about the desk include: -The paddle switch. Unlike a lot of other desks that have buttons, this switch is more simple, and it feels better to flip the paddle than push a button. At least for me. -The phone app. Make sure to download the 'Desk Control' app. It works well with this desk, and pairs quickly. In the app there is a height reading and you can set favorite heights as well as change between inches or centimetres. You can also set reminders for standing as well. -In conjunction with setting favorites, if you use the paddle to move the desk up or down, when it reaches one of the set 'favorite' heights, it will stop for a moment at one of said heights as a courtesy. It can make getting to a preferred sit or stand height more convenient, without even having to pull out your phone. -The design and construction. I've built lots of IKEA furniture, and this was very easy to construct. You will need some extra tools, including a hammer and Phillips screwdriver. But you will be using the provided Allen wrench for the most part. Looks are subjective, but to me, this desk looks distinguished. The wood veneer looks nice, and the A-frame design has a sort of 'pop' to it. Going up or down is a smooth operation, and the desk feels solid at any height. Some nitpicks: I wish the top was solid wood, but they probably didn't do that to reduce the load on the motors. The price is a little steep. I just feel that the 200 dollars over the BEKANT sit/stand isn't quite justified. But I made the purchase anyways since everything else about it was so good. Overall: I am very satisfied with this product. If you want a desk that you're going to use, and use a lot for years to come, then consider the IDÅSEN sit/stand desk.5
easy to operateJane NipiusVery easy to operate and very solid. A little pricy.5
Great Desk, Terrible AppHman105The desk itself is very well built, solid at all the heights I've set it at. The app however is extremely unreliable, most of the time it just doesn't connect to my desk. Not having hardware presets on the desk itself was a poor design choice by Ikea. Should have spent the money there verse getting this app working, it's a failure.4
Was Really Worried, But Turned Out GreatcpowerI'm a couple weeks into owning this standing desk. After shopping around for a large standing desk I thought for sure anything sub $1,000 was going to be a waste of money. I was wrong, this desk performs just as good as any desk I've tested out in stores. The only minor concern is the sound of the lifting mechanism. It's not quiet by any means, but for as often as you are going up and down in reality isn't bad either. I absolutely would recommend this to anyone looking for a reasonably priced standing desk. Things to keep in mind when you move to a standing desk you'll need another way to store things that typically go in the drawers of your regular desk and you'll need some sort of mat or thing to stand on as your legs will get tired. I recommend the balancing boards with a padded/bubbled surface as they don't get in your way when you want to sit down in a chair.5
Work from Home Game Changer1bobnPurchased this amazing desk 2 weeks ago after being grounded from work travel. I've spent the last 3 months working on a small desk with a monitor 2 laptops and an iPad. It's been a challenge to stay focused in a cramped environment, So I remember seeing sit/stand desks at Ikea. Once the Las Vegas store finally reopened I went in and checked this desk out. The last thing I wanted was a rickety rocker desk, this thing is built like a brick house Most definitely not a rickety rocker. So I'm spending 3/4 of my day standing up now which is really come in handy having my camera at eye level for doing Internet webinar training sessions. The one thing I will suggest is have a piece of glass made for the top. One of the complaints that I read in the reviews before purchasing this desk was people complaining about fingerprints because it's black I guess I'm not so worried about fingerprints but I don't want to scratch this beautiful desk that's why I've purchased a glass top which has made this desk 100% awesome. Don't waste your money on the cheaper rickety rocker desk that they have, the operation of this desk is so smooth it goes up and down effortlessly it has two motors on each side it's just a very well thought out piece of office furniture. As far as putting it together took me about half an hour very simple it's also a very heavy desk about 150 pounds but it comes in three boxes the largest one would be the thin top so fit right in the back of my jeep wrangler four-door. I absolutely recommend this desk to Help with the physical challenge of sitting at a desk all day standing is much better and when you want to take a break you sit down. Buy it you will not regret it even though it is a little spendy5
Great featuresAlemerjamExcellent material and finishing5
Doesn"t Work!EricDStepThe motor doesn't work! It's easy to assemble & I assume it would be a fine desk. However, it doesn't work! And I cannot get in touch with anyone for Customer Service.1
Great deskBoomer22All around great desk. Easy to assemble, one screw was missing And it was easy to find/replace at the local hardware store.5
Doesn’t workCoco370Put it together, electronics don’t work, can’t use the table at all. IKEA’s response was to tell us that if we don’t like we would have to bring it back. I guess they don’t really believe you when you tell them you need replacement parts. It’s just taking up valuable space in our house until we can take it all apart, pack it up and haul it back there.1
Solid, stylish, functionalMarkInSTLI needed a new home office desk and this is solid, stylish and functional. The up/down motor is great. Switch is super easy and the desk only took 30 minutes to put together, only needed two people to install the heavy and solid top. Love this desk and love the standing while working experience.5
Looks great!Minnie81This desk is simple to assemble.5
Great sit/stand motorized desk. So far so goodmoosakhalidI've only had the desk for a complete one day. Assembly, for a newbie at things like this, considering that I did it all alone was pretty good. Though it would have been nice if the instruction manual had written instructions in addition to diagrams of steps. The table top feels sturdy and good quality finish. I got the 63 inch one and it has A LOT of space. I've gor 2 monitors, some recording equipment and other light stuff and it moves up and down flawlessly. I was able to install the Desk Control app by Linek on Android and after pairing with the bluetooth on the table it works great, remembers your favorite positions but there's this awkward step where you have to keep holding/pressing the button for it to get to your favorite saved positions(allows 3 positions), app also tracks other health related metrics. I'm a newbie at getting tables so maybe I'm missing finer details however to my eyes and for my usage this table feels perfect. Let's see how it fares in the coming days, months and years!5
Seriously Great Desk So Far!LADINOBOYI bought this desk after first seeing it on IKEA's website and then going to the store to do my own evaluation. In store it was amazingly sturdy with no wobbling, the motors raised and lowered the desk nicely, and the look was quite nice for the price. I got the boxes home that night and opened them the next day, placed and counted the parts on my table according to the contents list and looked like all parts were there. Started putting the desk together and 2 of the most important parts that were not on the contents list but showed up in the instruction manual miraculously 10 pages later, were missing, totally missing! After several hours of e-mailing and calling to no answers I decided to get in my car and drive back over to IKEA to see what I could do besides return the desk. After about 30 minutes of waiting for my turn at the returns desk a super nice and helpful IKEA staff member helped me by opening up another box and letting me pick out the 2 missing parts and be on my way. I am so grateful for his help. I finished putting the desk together and I have to say how much I absolutely love it! LOVE IT!!!!!!! Great desk!!!!!5
