Great sit/stand deskJasonVery solid and easy to adjust height.5
Functional sit-stand deskNikolausHad been looking for a sit-stand desk with some heft to it, Idasen seemed to be just what the Viking ordered. Assembly was straight-forward, the frame comes in two beefy boxes around 15kg / 30lbs each, tabletop the same. Had the whole unit with desktop up and working in 1-2 hours, taking my time. The cable management netting is a nice bonus, but not sure how well it will last. I have a few monitors on the desktop along with a mess of devices and so far, no issues going up or down. Unit is definitely beefier and more stable than some previous IKEA sit/stand desks I have seen, but worried about long-term longevity of motors. So far though, no issues. Only two complaints are: no keyboard tray option, and due to the structure of the desktop, one cannot be easily installed. Second, the optional app to control the desk (which is not from IKEA) kinda stinks.5
Happy CustomerChuckWe liked the adjustable desk so much that we returned and purchased a second one. The range of adjustability is awesome.5
Love this desk!QuinlanLove this desk!5
My second standing deskStevenI spent 3x as much for my first standing desk from another manufacturer - it broken when the moving company transported it. I replaced the broken desk with the Idäsen, and it’s so much better! Great value for the money!5
Solid, Minimalist Design, and Large Work SurfaceSteve B.Purchased for a newly renovated home office. After almost 2 years working remotely the health benefits of a standing desk are very appealing. Pros: Solid, easy to assemble (under 2 hours), large work area, minimalist design, has an app for both control and motivation to stand Cons: Motors are a bit noisy, app is basic, more variety in tabletop materials would be nice (would pay more for premium options), an optional mount for monitors would be a great product line extension, and a base color option beyond grey (black please) would be nice Sturdy and functional, time will tell the story on mechanical reliability. For now, I am very satisfied.5
Amazing quality at a great priceKAROLEMy husband bought this desk for his home office/ gaming room. He loves the size of the desktop as well as how smooth it is to raise and lower the desk from sitting to standing position. Another thing he loves is that he can save the positions so he doesn’t have to remember the exact heights. He was looking at a motorized standing desk online but this one was almost half the price and it has a larger desk space. IKEA for the win!5

Love it!MichaelWe are using it for pod casting, it is amazing! Only complaint is delivery, the contracted service had it for two weeks, never called us to tell us it was in, we had to pick it up ourselves.5
Great Product!!Christina M.Great product!! Purchased two of these desks!! They have the biggest desk surface space you can find on the market. Highly recommend!5
Great deskCathrineQuality desk for a good price. Bonus is the ability to change height and that function works great! Easy to assemble too.5
Best solution for talk personRupalLoved design. Easy to fit. Impressive bluetooth adjustment feature. In short loved it in all aspects.5
Good quality desk. It tookYokoGood quality desk. It took a half day to assemble, but instructions are well explained and was easy.5
Glad I finally bought itLisaOld desk wasn't working out as I long ago switched to a laptop from a desktop with monitor. This desk makes its great to spread out my work and allow me to fidget while standing. Very happy with the purchase.5
Sure it’s just a table/desk right?!LarryNeed to present and your presentation style works best from standing? You need this table Have that favorite chair but its too high or too short? You need this table Back pain sufferer and need to stand but also need to keep working? You need this table You want do some squats, arm curls, jump rope and watch a training video? You need this table Need to shoot a monologue or sketch with a green screen? You need this table Want to control the height with bluetooth connectivity from your phone or tablet? You need this table These all things I’ve done since buying this table. Relatively easy to setup (but you need to have another person help put the table top on). The table top is deep so space for my 16‘’ laptop with stand, 26” monitor, and 32” tv (turned at an angle), tabletop speakers, microphone, keyboard and mouse. Table top is durable and solid but be thoughtful about the total load/weight you put on it if you max out the load capacity be sure to distribute the weight. Yes it’s just a table but it’s easily the best work table I’ve every had in my 20+ years of work. Worth every penny.5
Great functionality at a low priceAARONMost adjustable standing desks cost twice as much. So definite advantage in terms of price. The electric lift system is not the quietest, but it works consistently. As with many IKEA products, the wood for the desktop is a bit soft and prone to getting scratches and dings. I purchased a desk pad, so not a huge deal. For the price advantage it’s totally acceptable to me.4
FantasticJoePlenty of room and very sturdy, this desk was easy to build and the adjustable height is a great way to stretch out. The optional phone app is just another way to control the desk. The cord management system works well, I zip tied a power surge protector to the frame to hide even more cords.5
TM1983I decided to get in the market for a standing desk due to the pandemic. I am glad I spent a little more for the desk from IKEA. It was my first serious purchase from the store and a great experience. Very easy to install and I was able to do it by myself. Using the desk at a normal sit-down height is also a good experience. No complaints. I would definitely buy again. Very solid and sturdy piece of furniture. No wobble even if you lean a little on it.5
easy to operateJane NipiusVery easy to operate and very solid. A little pricy.5

Our take on wood

Wood is the material most commonly associated with IKEA furniture, and for good reasons. It’s renewable, recyclable, durable, ages beautifully and it is an important part of our Scandinavian design heritage. At IKEA, we believe that sourced in responsible way, wood is a key change driver for climate mitigation. In 2012, we set a goal that by 2020 our wood would be from more sustainable sources. We are happy to announce that we have reached this goal and today, more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

Forests are critical for life on earth

Forests contribute to maintaining balance in the atmosphere, purify the air that we breathe and are part of the water cycle. They nourish wildlife biodiversity and provide homes for indigenous communities who depend on forests for their livelihoods. 90% of plant and animal species living on the planet need forests to survive. They provide sources of food, fuel, timber and many other ecosystem services that we rely upon. Sourcing approximately 19 million m3 of roundwood per year from some 50 countries, IKEA has a significant impact on the world’s forests and the timber industry and a huge responsibility to positively influence how wood is sourced. Responsible wood sourcing and forest management ensure that the needs of people dependent on forests are met, that businesses can work sustainably, that forest ecosystems are protected and biodiversity is enhanced.

100% wood from more sustainable sources

At IKEA, we work with strict industry standards to promote responsible forestry. We don’t allow any wood in our supply chain from forest areas that are illegal or contain high conservation values or from forest areas with social conflict. Before starting to work with IKEA, suppliers must demonstrate that they meet IKEA critical requirements on wood sourcing. IKEA requires all suppliers to source wood from more sustainable sources (FSC-certified or recycled wood). All suppliers are audited regularly and non-compliant suppliers are required to implement immediate corrective actions. By working together with our suppliers, we are proud to announce that we have reached our more sustainable sources goal, which we set out to achieve by 2020. Today more than 98% of the wood used for IKEA products is either FSC-certified or recycled.

IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030

As pressure on the world’s forests and the surrounding eco-systems increases due to unsustainable agriculture, the expansion of infrastructure and illegal logging, it is time to take an even more holistic approach to protect and support these important resources for generations to come. The IKEA Forest Positive Agenda for 2030 set out to improve forest management, enhance biodiversity, mitigate climate change and support the rights and needs of people who depend on forests across the whole supply chain and drive innovation to use wood in even smarter ways. The agenda focuses on three key areas: • Making responsible forest management the norm across the world. • Halting deforestation and reforesting degraded landscapes. • Driving innovation to use wood in smarter ways by designing all products from the very beginning to be reused, refurbished, remanufactured, and eventually recycled.

We accomplish more by working together

For many years, IKEA has partnered with businesses, governments, social groups and non-governmental organisations to fight forest degradation and deforestation and increase the volume and availability of wood from responsibly managed forests both for our own supply chain and beyond. We are on a journey to improve global forest management and make responsible wood sourcing the industry standard, contributing to building resilient forest landscapes and improve biodiversity.

What is constructed board?

We use constructed boards when manufacturing many of our pieces of furniture, such as tables and wardrobes. They are light and resource-efficient, yet still stable and strong. Each board has a frame made of chipboard, fiberboard or solid wood, while the inside is a honeycomb filling structure made of mostly recycled paper, which is extra durable thanks to its special construction. The board is then covered with a protective paint, foil or veneer depending on the style wanted.
