GLASS SHATTERED FOR NO REASONTracyGlass topper has been installed properly for a few years now and all of a sudden out of nowhere, it just shatters. Nothing dropped on it, it did not have any scratches or damages, it just shattered several feet away and landed in all directions. Absolutely do not recommend this product. Could have lacerated anyone standing close by during the incident. This product should be recalled.

*Someone in the reviews mention it broke in a million pieces when the dropped a glass perfume bottle on it. OF COURSE GLASS THERE IS THE POSSIBILITY GLASS WILL BREAK WHEN YOU DROP A HEAVY HARD ANYTHING ON IT. DUH!
Very good for protecting top of dresser.HyojeongThe top of the dress always gets scratched due to contact with many objects, so most of the time it is covered with fabric, which I didn't want. I was very happy to find out that this product had a glass top. Moreover, it had a safety device to prevent it from moving, so it was a perfect cover, and I was able to maintain a neat and stylish bedroom.

Easy to put on; hardest part was making sure it came home in one piece from Ikea and inside the house as it is a longer piece that you don't want to flex much at all. Have two people carry on both ends. Unbox just before putting it on. This will help protect the top from accidental dings, scratches, marks, etc. for the future. In general glass tops are so expensive for a precise fit, this is an amazing price. My son at 2 years old has been helping me put together his Ikea bedroom furniture (dresser, nightstand and closet system)! Pretty straight forward. Holding up well. Slow close drawers are a must with kids as they grow up and what sold us on this dresser vs. a similar one the same size without it that was $100 cheaper or so. Great products. Doesn't look cheap and has been holding up well and will continue to do so if you take care of it.
Be careful breaking this on carpetKamileI had this dresser glass top for over 3 years no problems, then I accidentally dropped a glass perfume bottle on it and it broke into a million pieces. While I know this is the purpose of this glass, it is impossible to get it out of our carpet. There are tiny glitter-sized pieces all over that area and the glass was even jumping feet away from the dressed when it first shattered. I can't even use the dresser anymore! I loved it but make sure you're really careful on carpet.

Idanas Glass TopCatI bought this for the Idanas 6-Drawer Dresser. It fits beautifully and was very easy to install. I prefer a glass top on my bureaus because it's great to protect and easy to clean. I don't regret buying it for this dresser, but I'll be hones, this dresser is so tall, you can't really tell it's there, so if you're doing it for appearance sake, you may skip it for this particular dresser. It fits perfectly and is super easy to install! Clean it, lay it on top, and snap on two clips. Done!

What is glass?
Glass is mainly made of sand, soda, and lime melted at a high temperature. Tempering or various additives gives you extra-strong and impact-resistant glass that in some cases can be taken straight from freezer to oven without cracking. A big benefit is how glass can be recycled over and over without the quality deteriorating. Also, a lot less energy is needed to melt recycled glass compared to new raw materials. Our goal is to eventually use only recycled glass in our range.
