nice look, but never fixed to wallsAnnaI have tile on the shower, It falls all the time and I only open the curtain once a day.
Do not buyGraceWill not lock no matter what we do, falls off the wall with a slight breeze. Very poorly designed.
Made return Jevgenijusit didn't attach well to the wall
Do not buyRpFalls often I put it on there very tight. Still falls. It actually ended up damaging my tub but chipping off the glaze. So now I have to repair it. Ikea products have really went downhill. I so mad I have to fix my brand new tub due to this shoddy product. It seems a lot of people have the same issue.
Not so durableJudieIt can drop no screw
Great tension RodPamelaIt works great. Follow the instructions on how to extend and tighten. I bought wall fittings that cup the ends and screw into the wall so it stays in one place. Tension rods will tear off the paint if they are tight enough, and I don’t want it to shift.
Shower RodCherylWe didn’t think it was going to work but so far, so good
This rod is "IFFY"ArlieI do not trust this rod to stand the test of time. Good luck getting it to stay level & not come down in the middle of the night, causing cardiac arrest.
what a piece.NeilThis product is twist to lock, not twist to snug. Meaning, to get a snug fit you have to install it at a slight angle and then level it off. The problem with that is, not a lot of walls are perfectly flat!! Also the lock isn't very tight, or maybe it's just hard to make it lock with wet hands. This lost grip and fell twice while showering. not cool or fun or good.
Looks decent though.
READ THIS REVIEW!PeterI have read all the bad reviews of this rod before buying and then went out to IKEA and bought it anyway. I have the old stainless steel IKEA shower rod and that one is great. This one is even better. I use it to hang wet laundry on, and it will not move or fall. People who had problems with this rod falling didn't understand installation instructions. When you turn to lock this rod it just locks, it doesn't expand like traditional shower rods do. Adjust the width of the rod and lock it with one of the rubber bushings removed. Then install the bushing and compress the rod to fit between the walls. Have someone help you if you find it difficult to compress the rod by yourself. Cleaning your tile before installation is also not a bad idea, the surface should be free of grease/soap residue. Again, I use IKEA hangers to hang my wet clothes on this one and have had no problems. Great item that definitely doesn't deserve the bad reviews.
Had to put it 3AlmaHad to put it 3 times to work.

Bad fixRabiaIt fix not properly it’s not even for lite courtin.
Hard to install, doesn’t stayAdeleHard to install, doesn’t stay in place.
TerribleAnonymousFalls every time you touch the curtain
Works great!AnonymousWe bought this to put in our granddaughters bathroom. It works great!
Cant hold weight of shower curtainElenaThis rod keep slipping down to the top edge of out shower insert and resting on top of it if we hang a shower curtain on it. If you don't hang anything on it, the tension rod can hold itself up. I wish this came with an option to screw it into the wall for support
Won't stay upSimoneI purchase two of these and neither with maintain tension. The curtain on them is very lightweight.
Returned It - Won't Stay in PlaceHeatherShould just twist in the place and stay put but we twisted for DAYS and this tension rod would not stay in place in our tiled shower enclosure. We returned it and replaced it with a similarly priced item from a different, big box retailer.
RiseI brought this a fee weeks ago. This is my first tension rod form Ikea and i am disappointed. I put it with nothing on it within two seconds it feel i tired another and the same thing happened again. I have other tension rods from other manufacturers and never experienced this issue. I plan to purchase curtain holders from Home Depot and use it as a plant hanger. I will surely stick to my other manufacture tension rods.
