Smooth surfaceSarahI originally got the cheaper hangers that are 8 for $4.99, but the wood was rough. I needed more anyway, so I came for these, and they're reasonably priced at $1 each. The surface is smooth and doesn't snag on the fabric of clothes, plus they're lightweight and compact. They're not for heavy items, but perfect for their purpose.

Bamboo = eco friendly, natural material ElisabethThese have been the only bamboo hangers I have been able to find in person. I do wish there were more bamboo hangers options. These are both quite what I would have designed myself but they do the job just fine and I am glad to have found them. They are on the thinner side, not as thick as the other wood hangers, but I know bamboo is very strong (even used for construction scaffolding). So far they have held together no problem, even in our coat closet (but our coats aren't super heavy).

Lovely eco hangersMarkI really enjoy these hangers, they are fairly adorable and reasonably eco friendly. I do have two small issues that keep them from being 5 stars though. First is some splintering at the ends of the bamboo pieces, nothing a little sanding cannot fix, but a bummer to have to sand new hangers to keep from catching and harming my clothes. Second is that they are a bit narrow for my clothes, but would be great for narrower shouldered peoples clothes.
Light and easy to handleJeffreyI've not had any tops slide off afterward, as sometimes happens with plastic hangers; nor had to struggle with removing them, as with velvet hangers. Also, I have a two-tiered closet, and the shape of the hanger allows for easy reaching up to the top tier.

Wow, love them!EvgeniyaLightweight, sturdy, and beautiful. This design is an improvement over the wooden hangers that IKEA had before. The hook was screwed to the wood and kept coming off. Now the hook is secured with a metal plug from the bottom, what a great idea. I will recycle all my plastic hangers I got from the stores and get more of the bamboo ones. Imagine a beautiful rack. I only wish there was a choice of longer shoulder length for jackets. Price is very reasonable too.
Aesthetic and durable SabrinaThe hangers are very cute, aesthetically pleasing, and do what they’re supposed to do. The quality is great, and they look even better. I just wish more hangers came in the pack for the same price.

What is bamboo?
There are more than a thousand bamboo species. Most can be found in the tropics. The bamboo plants there grow in groups and can be up to 90 feet tall. The stems can vary in thickness and are usually green, but can also be yellow, brown or black. Bamboo is harvested after it has grown for 2 to 4 years. The entire bamboo plant is used to make furniture frames, and smaller parts are woven or glued together to make baskets or dishes.
