Uh ohCharlotteSad to report that Ikea's textile quality control is deteriorating. I recently had to completely rip apart two different Ikea pillow cases because they weren't sewn on the straight of the fabric. No one knowledgeable about fabric or sewing would do that. This Hoestagille tablecloth is a sturdy fabric with a pleasing geometric design, but only 72" of the 96" length is in alignment of either fabric or design. I would have to cut off 20" of the length and re-hem the piece to make it usable. Also, the width gets three inches narrower at one end, beginning about 6" from the hem. I suspect that huge looms are being used and pieces are cut not against the selvedge but higgledy piggledy by poor-quality cutting machines. Up your game, Ikea! In my experience, Indian cotton products usually have much higher quality control. I'm really shocked that Ikea would let this pass. 1
