Thanks to the small openings in the top edge of the bin, you can fix 2 bags in place at the same time – or have one bag for wet waste in one half and use the other part for dry waste, without a bag.
The lid is easy to remove when you need to empty or clean the inside of the bin.
The bin is designed with rounded corners to make it easier to clean.
The product comprises of more than 50% recycled plastic.

Stylish small receptacle with one significant drawback TomAesthetically, it's fine: small, fairly sleek, and fits in small spaces. The downside - at least for me - is that it seems to have been designed with the idea that a liner bag will provide sufficient friction between the can and the top rim to keep the entire top from lifting off if the lid is not gently lifted. If you aren't using a liner, then it's entirely too easy to lift the entire top off, negating much of its utility. This means that if you don't want to use a liner you may end up permanently attaching the rim to the can. Or you can use liners, thus using yet more plastic rather than less, which seems to me not the direction Ikea aims for. A redesign with, for example, a somewhat durable (that is, non-soft plastic) internal latch might solve the problem for those of us who don't want to keep buying plastic upon plastic.

Great bin, bad lid JakeThis is the best trashcan I was able to find in this price range and size, and the only one that fits next to my toilets. As other reviews mentioned, the lid is basically non-functional since it just loosely sits on top. This means that if you want to use this with a trash bag, you can’t use the lid. Not a big deal for my use case but definitely something worth considering.
